Editor's notes: what most do not know is the fact that nearly 3500 white "farmers" have been killed in "South Africa" over the past 5 years. While Terre'Blanche was a racist, South African opposition to the white apartheid of the past is equally racist. Understand that while this particular murder may not have been political, it was more than likely racist in motivation -- African Blacks deeply angry because of past wrongs, choosing to react with violence over perceived wrong doing on the part of whites. We have seen much the same thing in this country with Blacks rioting in protest to perceived white racism. What is of concern to Midknight Review is the fact that Obama is doing nothing to lower political tensions. Race baiting commentary is rampant in the Leftist media and political community. Hopefully, the general populace, black and white, is as far removed from taking the bait as was the last racially intense riot -- jds
The following article came from Atlas Shrugs. Her article below and related Shurgs news might help to put the African issue into a practical context.Eugene Terre’Blanche was ‘beaten so badly that he didn’t look like Eugene any more’…
The leader of the Boer-Republican movement, Eugene Ney Terre’Blanche (66), has been murdered on his farm. Radio Pretoria reports on April 3 2010 that Terre’Blanche has been murdered by people with pangas on his farm near Ventersdorp. This followed just 12 hours after the North Gauteng High Court judge Eberhardt Bertelsmann had issued an order banning the ANC-genocide song “Shoot the Boer’ – saying it incited violence against a specific minority group and instilled fear in this group.
According to police the founder/leader of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (Afrikaner defence movement) he was at his farm in Ventersdorp between 5 to 6 pm. He does not live there permanently. When police got there he was lying on the bed with fatal injuries to his head and upper body, he was still alive but died later. Police found a panga and a "knopkierie" (African fighting stick) and arrested two farm workers at the farm. According to them they ‘got in a argument’ with Eugene Terreblance and then admitted to killing him. He died because of his injuries and was declared dead at 7pm. AWB spokesman Andre Visagie said “Terre'blanche was beaten so badly "he didn't look like Eugene anymore". The AWB leader was alone on the farm at the time of the attack. Visagie said that Terre'Blanche's only security were his dogs which were "neutralised". A 16-year-old and 21-year-old who apparently worked for Terre'blanche were arrested, police spokeswoman Captain Adéle Myburgh said. Police rushed to issue a statement saying the murder was ‘not politically motivated’..
