Will the health care bill pass? Of course it will or there would not be a vote called for today. Period.

What you see here is a representation of the current House of
Representatives in terms of Republican/Democrat composition. In the last election, 257 Democrats were voted into the House along 178 Republicans. John Murtha, one of the most corrupt Democrats of all time, died a couple of months ago leaving the Dems with a total possible vote count of 256.

Pelosi needs 216 of them to pass health care reform as written by the Senate Democrats. The fact that she has called for the vote today and is allowing the vote to take place means that she knows who is going to vote for what. She knows the names of each potential "yes" vote. She knows exactly which Democrat is in deepest du-du if they vote for this bill -- whose districts are the most conservatives.

Not a single thing will happen in today's vote that is a surprise to Ms. Pelosi -- not one thing. So, what is this Sunday vote all about?

Fooling the American voter - especially those in "swing" or "conservative districts." Pelosi knows the names of those over whom she has control -- representatives such as Bart Stupack are not in her camp. Pelosi knows who these people are. There is a second group who are fence riders and have avoided meetings and/or phone discussions with the Speaker. She knows who are in this camp as well. There is a third group, those who will drink the Kool-aide for the party, in order to get this Marxist idiocy passed through Congress.

In the end, Nancy Pelosi knows how many "yes" votes she has in "her back pocket." She knows that this total equals 216 or more. Pelosi might not know how many over 216 she has - that is possible. But, she certainly knows the names of the first 216 Democrats to vote for this bill.

More than this, she is allowing certain conservative Democrats to vote "no" and in that vote, fool the voters in their districts into believing they are concerned for them.

Bottom line - today's vote is fully orchestrated by the Speaker. It is for "effect" and no other purpose . . . . FoxNews reporting aside. While the media is pretending the vote count is "up for grabs," the truth is something quite different.

Midknight Review appreciates FoxNews but is irritated with some of their Sunday morning "no one knows for sure" news casting as regards the afternoon vote in the House. In the end, come next November, all House Democrats need to be voted out of the House. That is the name of the game from today forward -- jds.

Update: the only surprise, today, may be the size of the majority vote. Don't you know that Pelosi will want a "yes" vote count of 220 or more. Look for this to happen. If it does, it will be cast as a major surprise -- jds.
