You know, when Pelosi and Obama (where the heck is Harry Reid now-a-days?) are talking about health care saving $1.4 trillion while Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan are talking about health care costing $2.4 trillion - what does all that mean? Which is correct? Both? Neither? One? The other?
Well, you decide. Pelosi is talking about the money this health care bill will save in lost revenues and whatever. She is talking about a "projected" savings. When she and Obama speak of this being the biggest savings bill in American history/ It is a "savings" that will never appear on the books. No one will be able to point to it and say, "There !! There it is." Smoke and mirrors. You know -- like those 2 million jobs he "saved." Thousands of teachers will be laid off this coming school year because Obama has done nothing to turn the tied except to lie about how many teaching positions he "saved." Are we going to allow that lie to continue?
Cantor and Ryan are talking about a cost that must be paid by the taxpayer. We will be able to point to it, to say, "Here, right here, is where we have to spend more money." No smoke. No mirrors.
But aren't we all so very tired of talking about this health care "reform."
Beginning today, our assignments are spelled out. If you are a Baby Boomer, you (and I) have to clean up the mess our generation has created. We need to remain involved - even more so today than we were yesterday.
From time to time I will be sharing something about what I am doing in addition to publishing this blog. It is not enough to complain and publish those complaints. We -- I -- must actually do something about the mess we allowed to be fostered onto our children and grandchildren. Few of us deserve to accept another Socialized Security check until and unless we get off our duffs and become physically involved in the righting of wrongs created by our (Boomer) generation. We saw the problem; we knew the system was going broke; and, we really didn't care. And now, "they" are thinking that we are their slaves. It is time to correct this mistake and to "repent of the errors of our ways."
Protests, civil disobedience, being willing to pay a price for participating in a little house cleaning -- i.e., the House of Representatives and the White House -- is the task at hand.
Write Midknight Review with your suggestions. Better yet, tell us what you have in mind on a personal level - what you will do or would like to do. If we can publish it without causing you legal problems, we will do so -- anonymously, of course. If email doesn't work for you - and you need to be careful - write us at 20, Fairbanks Ave., Sanger, California, 93657. Your letters will be read and destroyed . . . . . the ideas will live on if, indeed, we can share them. If it sounds as if I am done with this bunch, their laws, their lies, the theft of our children's future and birthright - you are correct, sir !!
