Midknight Review calls for Congressional elections every two years rather than . . . . . .

The Queen Bee appeared on CNN to talk to her subjects. Is there a better reason to have Congressional elections for ALL Congress-people every two years ??

Nancy Pelosi appeared on a little known CNN program called "State of the Union," and told her interviewer this: ""They've [the Republicans] had plenty of opportunity to make their voices heard. Bipartisanship is a two-way street. A bill can be bipartisan without bipartisan votes. Republicans have left their imprint." (link)

So there you have Pelosi's view on "bipartisan" behavior; dictate to the people what you think is best while you include a few of their concerns BUT never, never, never allow them to sit at the table and help construct [critical] legislation.

Our response ??

We have used this example before but it bears repeating: if a tyrannical husband allows his wife to go shopping once a week -- something she would agree is important -- does that make him any less a tyrant?

Midknight Review believes the single most important realization coming out of the past 13 months is the power of the people and the influence they have because of our ability to vote. While this Review does not favor term limits, it suggests and would support voting for all members of Congress every two years. Currently, every two years we vote for all members of the House (435) and [only] one third of the Senate. We say, PUT THEM ALL ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK .
