Dan Rather: Health Care Reform Will Be In The First Paragraph Of Obama’s Obituary.
Dan Rather was on Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC borefest last night when he said, ‘I think it — not seems to be, I think it will be. It will be the signature achievement of this first term, perhaps the only term, but a signature achievement of President Obama`s this term.’
He followed that up with his belief that if health care reform passes, ‘ I expect it will be in the first paragraph of President Obama`s obituary.’ And then goes on to point out that it could very well be a one-term presidency.
Then there comes the obligatory ‘Is America more polarized now?,’ line:
MADDOW: I always think that — I look at the polarization we have now and I think oh every generation must think that they`re the most polarized time ever.
RATHER: No.
MADDOW: You think we are actually.
RATHER: I think we are. This is the most polarized the country has been certainly since the 1960s over the Vietnam War, and I think even more so than then, and Washington is unquestionably more polarized.

Editor's notes: and we agree. Rather is 6 years older than this editor. Both of us remember 1965-75 and the division that was everywhere. Guess who fostered that division? The same clowns who have ruined California and are driving the United States into Third World territory - the Baby Boomers.
Look, the Baby Boomers are a divided generation in ways not seen in any other generation. You have the pot smoking, crack coking, free love Woodstockers and then you have this editor and his buds -- the normal people who decided to go to work for a living rather than spend our entire lives in politics.
We have a lot of work to do in the coming two and a half years. Apparently Obama has bought off enough votes (spending $7 billion of YOUR money bribing various members of Congress) to get this health care bill passed. If our side is right, it will spell the end of any pretense at a jobs recovery. Obama and his ACORN loving loafers and looters think they have won.
There is no doubt that Obama is the most divisive President this country has every had. Who would come close? And he is this to the point that this editor no longer sees him as our President. He is nothing more than the enemy of the nation's grand traditions, a Marxist bum who has hidden his past from view and is doing what he can to silence all opposition. Over my dead body, Barry !!
More than this, he is a dupe, one being used by powerful people he doesn't even know. While he is a Black Liberation Marxist, the people that are pulling off this extravagant redisribution of wealth are not.
We, the many, must become One, persistent, in love with freedom, uncompromising, and determined to repair the damage done by the 111th Congress.
