Midknight Review asks: If Obama were anti-Israeli, how would he act differently than he is at this time ??

One of the most disturbing aspects of the Obama Administration's offensive against all things traditional is its opposition to Israel. While Obama often issues statements that proclaim his allegiance to the Jewish State, virtually nothing he has done since taking office has worked in Israel's favor.

From the World Tribune, it is reported that during the past 14 months, not a single weapons contact has been signed between the US and Israel. There is a contract rumored to have been signed for three transport aircraft, but such is not an exception to the above reporting; transport is transport, not weaponry.

Last week, news media outlets carried a story detailing the fact that Obama had pushed back on a shipment of bunker buster bombs in-route to the Jewish State. It appears that this decision has been rescinded, allowing the delivery. What is disturbing is the fact ever thought to intervene is such a way. Obama is playing around with the very destiny of Israel and runs the risk of adding to the negative opinion this nation already has for the man.

In recent internal polls, Israeli's believe Obama to be anti-Isreal with only 9% of that country's population expressing a positive view of Obama. Obama's childish treatment of Netanyahu and the under-reported story of Obama's gift of just under 1 billion dollars to Hamas are the two primary issues driving these Israeli negatives.

What is equally disturbing to Midknight Review, is the fact that Obama has sat on his proverbials for 14 months and done absolutely nothing with regard to Iran's nuclear advancements. If he were plotting the destruction of Israel (and we are NOT saying he is), it is safe to say that he would not be acting any differently than he is. Neal McDonough (pictured left) is a marvelous actor who elevates every role he plays, whether it's in Band of Brothers or Desperate Housewives. The move was officially explained as a casting change. But, in fact, McDonough was sacked because of his refusal to do some heated love scenes with babelicious star (and Botox pitchwoman) Virginia Madsen. The reason? He's a family man and a Catholic, and he's always made it clear that he won't do sex scenes. And ABC knew that. Because he also didn't get into action with Nicolette Sheridan on the network's Desperate Housewives when he played her psycho husband during Season 5. And he also didn't do love scenes with his on-air girlfriend in his previous series, NBC's Boomtown, or that network's Medical Investigation. "It has cost him jobs, but the man is sticking to his principles," a source explained to me. You can't help but admire McDonough for sticking to his beliefs, even if he's poised to lose as much as $1 million in paydays for Scoundrels, which is based on the New Zealand series Outrageous Fortune centering on the matriarch (Madsen) of a family of criminals who decides it's time for her brood to go straight after her husband (McDonough, now Elliott) is sentenced to a long prison term. ("I thought these things only happened to women in LA!," a source mused.)

Law requires the reporting of losses due to legislation

These companies supply all or part of the cost for prescription drugs to their retirees. Until ForcedObamaCare (FOC), they were allowed a tax deduct for doing so -- private enterprise in partnership with the Feds. Under our current crop of tyrants, that deduction has been rescinded. Although the law governing this specific aspect of FOC does not go into effect until 2013, a year after the next Presidential elections, regulations under the Security Exchange Commission require these losses be reported in the same quarter Federal law is passed legislating such changes. These companies are reporting their losses now because they have to report these losses -- now.

Obama Strategists Screw Up

The total cost to American business is estimated to be somewhere between 14 and 20 billion dollars.

The strategists working with Obama missed this situation. They got it wrong. There was to be no bad news regarding ForcedObamaCare until after Obama's re-election efforts in 2012. Instead, this story appears to be only one of several revelations to hit the Obama Marxists between the eyes.

Understand that had Obama waited until April Fools Day to sign the new health care bill, these companies would not have to report the bad news until the end of the second quarter ( the end of June). Instead, the bill was signed at the very end of the first quarter, requiring these companies to immediately take the accounting charge (pay for the losses) and report this circumstance to their investors.

Waxman Plans to Humiliate and Demonize Big Business

Henry Waxman, a professional congressman out of L.A., one who has never worked in the private sector and is clearly a socialist/Marxist reformer, has decided to call the first [severa]l companies reporting these losses before whatever committee he chairs. He has demanded all their financial records and emails dating back to 2008 in a clear effort to intimidate these companies for doing what they are required to do. Understand that the SEC requires these companies inform their investors of losses to the bottom line - they have no choice. With Waxman's demand for private CEO email exposure, it is obvious to Midknight Review that this midget maniac is looking to prove "collusion" between the various companies reporting these losses.

He wants to develop a counter argument to this very bad news, to wit: these corporations are making tons of money and can afford these "losses" and, secondly, these companies have been working together, secretly, for years in an effort to defraud the working class.

A brief story on the scam that is the Obama announcement of expanded oil drilling concerns.

Question: just how much of this dense forest scene is "destroyed" in the effort to get to a large oil reserve? Read on.

While announcing a commitment to expanded oil drilling, Obama has effectively stifled any serious opportunity for increasing our domestic annual crude oil supply. "Huh ??" you say .

What has actually happened is this (and this is an evolving story): under the guise of a serious effort to expand domestic drilling, Obama has canceled all (?) of the lucrative oil reserve drilling contracts, especially along the California Coast and in places such as Montana where 38 drilling contracts have been canceled. Reason for the cancellations? The need for a more detailed environmental review. Such reviews will delay drilling for a decade or more -- if, in fact, drilling is ever permitted by these Marxist Rulers now occupying our White House.

In our reading over the past 24 hours, it is clear that Obama has actually prevented any expansion of the supply of domestic crude for at least 10 years.

Professor Julian Dowdeswell, director of the Scott Polar Research Institute at Cambridge University, said: "Even a small glacier such as the Dokriani glacier is up to 120 metres [394ft] thick. A big one would be several hundred metres thick and tens of kilometres long. The average is 300 metres thick so to melt one even at 5 metres a year would take 60 years. That is a lot faster than anything we are seeing now so the idea of losing it all by 2035 is unrealistically high.”

Some scientists have questioned how the IPCC could have allowed such a mistake into print. Perhaps the most likely reason was lack of expertise. Lal himself admits he knows little about glaciers. "I am not an expert on glaciers.and I have not visited the region so I have to rely on credible published research. The comments in the WWF report were made by a respected Indian scientist and it was reasonable to assume he knew what he was talking about," he said.

Rajendra Pachauri, the IPCC chairman, has previously dismissed criticism of the Himalayas claim as "voodoo science".

Last week the IPCC refused to comment so it has yet to explain how someone who admits to little expertise on glaciers was overseeing such a report. Perhaps its one consolation is that the blunder was spotted by climate scientists who quickly made it public.

The lead role in that process was played by Graham Cogley, a geographer from Trent University in Ontario, Canada, who had long been unhappy with the IPCC's finding.

He traced the IPCC claim back to the New Scientist and then contacted Pearce. Pearce then re-interviewed Hasnain, who confirmed that his 1999 comments had been "speculative", and published the update in the New Scientist.

Cogley said: "The reality, that the glaciers are wasting away, is bad enough. But they are not wasting away at the rate suggested by this speculative remark and the IPCC report. The problem is that nobody who studied this material bothered chasing the trail back to the original point when the claim first arose. It is ultimately a trail that leads back to a magazine article and that is not the sort of thing you want to end up in an IPCC report.”

Pearce said the IPCC's reliance on the WWF was "immensely lazy" and the organisation need to explain itself or back up its prediction with another scientific source. Hasnain could not be reached for comment.

The revelation is the latest crack to appear in the scientific concensus over climate change. It follows the so-called climate-gate scandal, where British scientists apparently tried to prevent other researchers from accessing key date. Last week another row broke out when the Met Office criticised suggestions that sea levels were likely to rise 1.9m by 2100, suggesting much lower increases were likely.

The lie of "the Ice caps are melting, the ice caps are melting" is fully exposed in this story.

The second headline is this: FLASH: Arctic sea ice grows back to 'normal' for first time since 2001...

Question: And what is the point of reconciliation concerning these two stories? Answer: The 90 year old scientist in the first story does not want to admit that no long term predictions issued by doom and gloom climatologists. Remember Katrina? That was 2005. We were told that Katrina was a level 5 hurricane caused by global warming. We were told that we could expect as many as 17 major hurricanes the next year, that in Katrina we had witnessed a sea change in the climate. Anyone know how many level 5 hurricanes have occurred since Katrina? Zero. Level four hurricanes since 2005? Zero. Level three? Two. Level two? Zero. In fact, since Katrina's original analysis, scientist have readjusted there description of Katrine from a level 5 to a . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . level three !!! In five years, only two level three huricanes have landed on any shore line of the United States. In fact, honest people now know that Katrina did not cause any of the serious damage and loss of life in New Orleans. Not at all. Rather, all of that disaster was caused by greed, graft, and the reassignment of funds intended for levy reconstruction.

And the story linked above with regard to the Arctic Ice Cap is more to the point of this post.

You should know that the Northern Ice Cap melts to near extinction EVERY SUMMER and has been doing so for hundreds of years. Conversely, every winter it rebuilds itself. For most of the first decade of the new century, the Northern Cap has not replenished itself to historical levels, although the disparity is only about 10% or less of historic benchmark. Let's not forget the prediction that the Himalayain glaciers were going to milt away by 2035 !!

We could go on and on. Think about these three examples. What if they were true ?? There are 15,000 ice caps in the Himalayain range and combine that with the melting of the world's ice caps. Throw in 15 to 20 level 5 hurricanes hitting the US annually and we have the makings of an unmitigated natural disaster so destructive as to go beyond our ability to even imagine. AND NONE OF IT IS TRUE.

Understand that "global warming" takes place ONLY in scientific weather models - not in real life. That has been and is being proven over and over again. -- jds

Regardless of whether you favored or opposed the health care legislation passed this week, do you think the methods the Democratic leaders in Congress used to get enough votes to pass this legislation — were [they] an abuse of power, or were [they] an appropriate use of power by the party that controls the majority in Congress?

Abuse of power 53%

Appropriate use of power 40%

No opinion 7%

A surprising 58% of independents, too, said Dem tactics constituted an abuse of power.

Moral of the story: Message discipline works. The concerted effort by Republicans to paint the Dem move as an unprecedented abuse of power may not have stopped the bill from passing. But it seems to have persuaded a majority that there was something seriously wrong headed about what Dems did to get reform passed.

We are convinced that Obama's internal polling numbers show a worse picture regarding the mid-term elections than anything we read. Obama is "in the tank" and his response is to be more confrontational, more radical, more partisan and more of the jerk. Will this strategy work? Depends on the desired results. Tony Perkins urges conservatives to stop giving money to RNC

Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council and an influential social conservative, is urging his members to stop giving money to the Republican National Committee, POLITICO has learned.

"I've hinted at this before, but now I am saying it: Don't give money to the RNC," Perkins will tell FRC members in the group's next e-mail newsletter. "If you want to put money into the political process, and I encourage you to do so, give directly to candidates who you know reflect your values."

Perkins' move comes two days after it was disclosed that the committee spent nearly $2,000 at a lesbian bondage club near Los Angeles — a revelation that has revived Republican griping about Chairman Michael Steele and the national party.

"This latest incident is another indication to me the RNC is completely tone-deaf to the values and concerns of a large number of people they are seeking financial support from," Perkins writes.

His move comes a few weeks after Mark DeMoss, a prominent Christian conservative P.R. executive and donor, said after the disclosure of the RNC's controversial fundraising presentation that he would stop giving to the national party.

In his missive, Perkins also lamented that the RNC had touted their hiring super-lawyer Ted Olson to represent them in a campaign finance case.

"Yes, this is the same Ted Olson that is trying to overturn the results of the marriage amendment in California," Perkins writes. "The outcome of Olson's challenge to Prop 8 goes far beyond nullifying the votes of nearly 7 million voters in California; his efforts could lead to the overturning of amendments and laws in all 45 states that currently define marriage as the union of one man and one woman."

These actions raise a potentially more serious threat to the RNC than the mere embarrassment of using party money to pay for a night out at a establishment dubbed Voyeur West Hollywood. The committee has $9.46 million in the bank and already likely won't be able to offer the congressional committees and GOP candidates the sort of financial help they have in the past. If social conservatives — the core of the party base — withhold contributions, the RNC's money problem could become far worse.
