Editor's notes: few political pundits appreciate the political victory achieved over the past 21 months. Who won? Conservative, pro-American Constitutionalists. When did the battle take place? Well, it is not over but the battle began, in earnest, with the inauguration of Mr. Obama. And, the odds for victory could not have been more one sided, in the favor of Obama.

We are fully aware of the successes of this Marxist/African Socialist administration. The so-called "Stimulus," was the first order of business for Obama; Payback for his unions and the beginnings of his redistributive agenda. During the election season, the major unions in the Northeast gave Obama 5 states in the election and hundreds of millions of dollars. Even Wall Street was in the mix, donating 20 million to the Dems during the same period they gave 13 million dollars to the GOP.

Then there was ObamaCare. Another success for Novice - one that would prove fatal to his remaining agenda. The battle for health care would take a full year to culminate. It sucked the life-spirit out of the soul of the Marxist regime and, may be the single most damaging influence in the midterms for the Democrat/Socialist Party. 60% of the voting population continues to oppose the bill as written and no Democrat running in a conservative district is touting the bill's passage.

In August, the Dems passed a financial reform bill (often called "FinReg") that put corporations under the control of the Feds to a degree never seen before.

With all this in mind, you might ask, how is it that we make the claim for victory?

Here is our answer:

Until Scott Brown's swearing in on Feb 4 of 2010, the Dems had super-majorities in both houses of Congress. That meant, of course, that the GOP could have literally "stayed home" and nothing would have changed in terms of a power display on Capitol Hill, also known as capital Hill. For a full year, the Republicans were absolutely powerless to stop anything the Dems thought to do -- if united in the effort. Then came "reality."

A list of failures that lends itself to the moniker -- DemWits,

They, the Dems, could have passed immigration reform that gave amnesty to 13 million illegals, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have passed reform to Don't Ask, Don't Tell - a Clinton rule, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have begun the ratification process for a nuclear free treaty with Russian, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have passed the very controversial "Cap and Trade" legislation, a redistributive strategy for the transfer of American wealth to the third world nations, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have closed GITMO, as promised hundreds of times during the '08 campaign, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have passed "card check," allowing unions to take over industry without a secret ballot vote, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have put KSM (the master mind of 9/11) on civil trial, using the trial to embarrass and condemn the Bush administration, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have passed "net neutrality," the first step in the dismantling of conservative talk radio, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have saved ACRON and officially partnered with SEIU in an effort to convert the nation to the color "purple," the official color of the Marxist lead Service Employees International Union - as Obama promisesd that union, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have gotten out of Iraq by the end of 2010 as promised during the '08 campaign, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have gotten rid of Washington's strong lobbyist coalition as promised hundreds of times in the '08 campaign, but they didn't.

They, the Dems, could have gotten rid of earmarks in the legislative process as Obama promised over and over, but they didn't.

The, the Dems, could have gone through the budget, line by line as promised, in an effort to reduce spending, but they didn't. . . heck, they didn't even write a budget for this fiscal year !!!

They, the Dems, could have institutionalized legislative transparency, giving "the people" a voice in the congressional process, but they didn't.

Understand that the Democrat/Obama strategy was to have the Stimulus, Health care reform and Cap and Trade in place by the middle of July, 2009 !! They knew the nation would be angry, but if their plan had worked, these three legislative efforts would have been nearly "forgotten" by the midterm elections, a year and three months down the road. Instead, the wheels came off Cap and Trade with only the House voting on and passing this legislation; the health care reform bill was not signed into law until March 20 -- nine months past its due date. And, none of the 14 issues listed above made it into law.

How does a Party with a super-majority in both houses and "their" president in power, not accomplish all of the above ?

Pressure from "the people" of this great nation !! Over the past 21 months, we witnessed the defeat of a political dynasty by a people with no formal representation. The GOP had been neutered in the presidential election as this nation faced the end of free market principles and Constitutional rule.

No nation on earth could have won a victory for its founding principles as did the American people over the course of the 21 month Democrat legislative campaign from hell.

The battle is not over until these people go else where to live .

First Reports of the days so-called "One Nation" rally in D.C. It went exactly as we thought it might. UPDATE: 200,000 may be in attendance.

Update: photo and crowd size. Understand that we know how many folks fill the lanes on each side of the reflecting pool -- 200,000. We know this because this was the official count of the Martin Luther King "I have a dream" speech. We have seen photo's in addition to this one. Based on these picture and especially the one to left, it appears to us that there was somewhere between 150,000 and 200,000 folks fathered at this event. -- yikes !! Talk about the mother of all typos !! We meant to write "200,000 gathered" but maybe the typo is correct in view of the belief that those attending today's event were old hypies and free love types. No ??

Here is how the AP reported the gathering in D.C. - one that was hoped to rally the 8/28 rally of conservative patriots from throughout the nation:

WASHINGTON (AP) - Thousands of people flocked to the Lincoln Memorial for a rally Saturday organized by labor and civil rights groups, hoping to show support for the Democratic agenda in the face of expected GOP election gains next month. More than 400 organizations, including faith, environmental and gay rights groups, sponsored the "One Nation Working Together" demonstration on the same end of the National Mall where a month ago tea party activists met to hear conservative commentator Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.

"Thousands" they say without telling us how many thousands. "400 organizations" they say, when CNN just reported (noonday news cast) "dozens of organizations." We can find no areal or exalted views of the crowd.
CNN showed one view from the Lincoln Memorial looking to the Washington Monument and it appeared to this editor as if there may have been 60,000 to 100,000 . . . . a good sized crowd, to be sure but compared to 8/28, a rather small gathering.

Understand that the 700,000 to 800,000 in attendance for the Honoring America rally rented their own buses and drove thousands of miles to make the event. No union money. No union buses. No corporate financing. No political signs. No Socialists for America. Just a bunch of people in love with their country and willing to make individual sacrifices in attending an event that sent a message to the nation that "times, they are achanging."

We will update with a definitive picture, if the Progressive media ever gets around to publishing one.

We must admit: at times and when it comes to "education," Obama sounds like a right winger. Could it be ??????? naaa !!

After you have read the full article, you may be surprised to realize that the teacher's unions are in the socialist camp of anti-capitalist, Constitutional reformists. While the teaching membership may not be unAmerican, their leadership clearly is -- if, of course, they agree with the agenda spelled out in the following. THAT is not entirely clear.

Neither is Obama's educational agenda. While the following outlines actual events, let's keep in mind that Obama's first educational reform decision was to close down a D.C. private school with 1,700 enrolled students. That little event does not fit the intentions described below. We hasten to add this observation: Obama has no plan about any agenda item. That is Midknight Review's theory. It works with the closing of GITMO, Iranian relations, dealing either an imperialistic Hugo Chavez (Venzuela) , whatever he is doing in Afghanistan, the national economy, the Stimulus, his management of TARP (let's not forget that Bush turned TARP over to Obama complete with 350 billion in the fund, healthcare (we have yet to realize just how haphazard was the planning stage for this piece of idiocy and, of course, education reform. Obama spearheads nationwide assault on public schools

The Obama administration is spearheading an unprecedented assault on public education in the US. The White House and Education Secretary Arne Duncan are promoting a nationwide wave of school closures, teacher and staff layoffs, attacks on teachers’ wages and conditions, and an expansion of privately run charter schools—all in the guise of education “reform.”

This agenda is being carried out in school districts across the country over the angry opposition of students, parents and teachers. At a highly-charged meeting packed with parents and teachers on Wednesday in Kansas City, Missouri, the district’s school board voted to endorse a plan by the superintendent to shut down 28 of the city’s 61 schools and to cut 700 of 3,000 jobs, including 285 teachers’ jobs.

Enrollment in Kansas City Schools has eroded in large part through the siphoning off of students by charter and private schools. Kansas City, with a population of 480,000, presently has about the same number of public school students, 17,000, as were enrolled in 1890 when the city population was just over 132,000. This is down from a high of 77,000 students in 1964.

In Detroit, a proposed plan by a coalition called “Excellent Schools Detroit” would shut down and sell off as many as 70 public schools and open up charter schools in their stead. Detroit Public Schools Emergency Financial Director Robert Bobb has endorsed the business-backed scheme. Bobb, who has overseen the closure of dozens of schools and a huge cut in Detroit teachers’ pay, has won warm praise from Obama and Education Secretary Duncan.

The Detroit News on Thursday quoted Bobb as saying that he is “open to chartering DPS (Detroit Public School system) schools, selling buildings to charter school operators and turning schools over to charter operators.” In praise of the plan, Bobb told the News, “It has a very strong market-driven component to it.”

In California, school districts across the state are handing out thousands of pink slips to teachers in advance of the March 15 deadline when all public school employees must be notified of potential layoffs. The Los Angeles Unified School District, which faces a $640 million budget gap, voted March 2 to send layoff notices to more than 5,200 employees, including teachers, support staff and management.

On March 4 in Massachusetts, the state’s Department of Education released a list of 35 schools where the jobs and contracts of teachers are directly threatened by the Obama administration’s policy of closing down so-called “underperforming” schools. The Boston Public Schools responded by ordering teachers at six of these schools to reapply for their jobs.

Cash-strapped school districts nationwide are grappling with growing budget shortfalls at both the local and state level. “NBC Nightly News” reported Thursday that school officials in at least 34 of the 50 states have carried out cuts. Sixty-six percent of school districts across the country have cut jobs this year, while 83 percent project cuts for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Obama’s policies have encouraged these attacks on public schools. The administration and the Democratic-led Congress have refused to provide emergency funds to enable states and localities to close huge budget deficits resulting from rising unemployment and falling tax revenues, even as they handed over trillions in taxpayer dollars to bail out the banks.

The White House is seeking to exploit the fiscal crisis to push through its anti-public education agenda, tying whatever federal funds are on offer to attacks on teachers’ jobs and pay, the closure of schools in working class communities, and the expansion of publicly subsidized but privately owned charter schools.

Speaking before an audience of business executives at the US Chamber of Commerce March 1, the president welcomed the mass firing of teachers at a public high school in Rhode Island. Obama insisted that the 74 teachers and 19 other school employees at Central Falls High School, a “failing school,” had to be held “accountable.”

As with Ronald Reagan’s mass firing of the PATCO air traffic controllers in 1981, the White House endorsement of the Central Falls firings is a signal to state and local authorities across the country to demand that teachers accept lower pay, fewer benefits and longer hours, or face the loss of their jobs.

Teachers are being scape-goated for an education crisis for which they bear no responsibility. The media has fallen into line. The editorial in Thursday’s USA Today was headlined, “Unions protect bad teachers, harming kids’ education.” The cover story of the latest edition of Newsweek is entitled “Why We Must Fire Bad Teachers.”

Under Obama’s “Race to the Top” program, states are being forced to compete for $4.3 billion in federal stimulus funds. States that prohibit merit pay or the use of test scores in teacher evaluations are ineligible for funds. Those opening up more charter schools with new, lower-paid teachers will be rewarded.

Obama’s budget for 2011 contains sweeping changes in funding for primary and secondary education, radically altering the guidelines for the distribution of federal funds to schools with high concentrations of low-income students. A significant proportion of so-called Title I funds would be distributed to poorer districts—not on the basis of economic need, but according to their “performance.”

The unstated agenda behind these moves is nothing less than the dismantling of the public school system as it has been known in the US. It is to be replaced by a largely privatized system more directly based on social class and geared more closely to the profit interests of big business.

A Democratic administration that came to power by appealing—cynically and dishonestly—to popular hostility to war and the Bush administration’s pro-business policies, has become the vehicle for carrying out the type of radical assault on public education that had long been advocated by the Republican right.

Obama’s African-American background was utilized to mask his right-wing policies, lulling working class and young voters into believing he would be more sympathetic to their needs.
