Understand that 281,000 jobs were created in June;  274,000 of those jobs were part-time

While the 6.1 number is the lowest report number in several years,  we have more people having left the workforce and are no longer looking for jobs, than at anytime in the past 38 years.  111,000 left the workforce in June and have lost hope of finding a job.  Add that number to the 12 million who have,  also,  given up.    

500,000 fewer full-time work positions reported in June versus 800,000 more part-time positions.  Is this what we want or need?  

Remember,  Biden told us just last month,  "Obama never promised high paying jobs."  Geeeeesh.  

We just recorded the lowest GDP number,  during a recovery,  than at any time in American history  --  GDP was minus 2.9% for the 1Q of 2014.  

If this is the best the Democrats can do,  time for a change.  They have been in charge of Congress for 7 year and were in charge of all banking services when the nation hit rock bottom,  and,  have held the presidency for more than 5 years.    Still,  nothing.  

What 6.7% unemployment really looks like for the 9.5 million wanting and able to work.

Real unemployment is 14.3% NOT counting the 6 million Americans no longer listed on any statistical survey because they have given up and are no longer looking for work.

Former Bureau of Labor Statistics chief Keith Hall recently was asked about the unemployment rate, which shows 7.6% of all Americans without jobs. His answer was shocking.

“Right now (the standard unemployment rate) is misleadingly low,” Hall, now with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, told New York Post financial reporter John Crudele.

While it barely got mentioned by the mainstream media mob, Hall says the plunging employment-to-population ratio leads him to believe the real rate of unemployment is much higher than 7.6% — perhaps 10.6%.

How could that be? Ordinarily, during a recovery, the employment-to-population ratio actually increases as more people come off the sidelines and get jobs.

Not so this time. Hall notes that June’s 58.7% employment-to-population ratio is actually lower than when the recession began at the end of 2007.

“I think that’s a remarkable statistic,” he said. And that may be an understatement.

The BLS itself puts out several “alternative” measures of unemployment. One of them, the so-called U6 gauge, adds to ordinary unemployment those who are discouraged, part-time workers who want full-time jobs and those who are “marginally-attached” to the workforce.

As the chart above shows, the real rate of unemployment is about 14.3% — nearly two-thirds higher than when the recession began in December 2007**

Campaign 2012 Update: Week Three - Day Four

Not much happened on day three,  but,  today (Thursday),  is another story.  The Obama adminstration spent most of the day dealing with separate firestorms:

1.  It has been caught scrubbing the internet of a speech made by one of its EPA administrators in 2010 - a speech in which it was said that the Administration, via its EPA,  intended to make examples of energy companies that resisted the Administration;  that the EPA would crucify its industrial opposition and,  in so doing,  make the battle for compliance an easier administrative task.    We posted the video on our site.  It could be found on several other sites on the web, as well,  including a large Catholic site, Glenn Beck's The Blaze, the Daily Caller and the Right Scoop . . . . all of which have been scrubbed. The sad thing about all this,  is the fact that the Administration is using tactics designed to bring its opposition into submission.  This is a big deal  - not only the attempted cover-up but the two year old agenda,  itself.

2.  As if one firestorm per week,  was not enough,  the Administration decided that now was a good time to go after America's family farms.  The Department of Labor made it known that an 87 page collection of rules and regulations would be enforced, relating to the conduct of family members on a family farm. That was two days ago.  Thursday evening,  Obama's henchmen completely backed off that decision and declared the effort would not be repeated during this Administrations time in office  --  as if anyone has reason to believe anything this bunch of Marxist Misfits have to say.

3.  Thursday saw a fifth week of rising unemployment numbers,  certainly not good news for this administration.  Unemployment claims went up as jobs creation continued its downward trend.  Let's not forget that this Administration is using a different set of numbers to figure unemployment from what it used in 2009.  Using the Administrations earlier workforce estimates,  our unemployment rate would be 10.9%.  You tell me how bad things are:  of the potential 156 million people in the workforce,  only 84 million filed federal income tax forms in 2010.  A similar number is expected for the new tax season.

4.  Apparently Nancy Pelosi's effort to rewrite the 1st Amendment has been postponed,  for the time being.  A campaign year not the best time for this sort of blond-brained nonsense.

Romney:  is spending the time interviewing prospects for the VP position, working on rough drafts, and plotting campaign strategies.
