After the greatest State of the Union speech of all time, Pelosi shows her grade school era immaturity by tearing up her copy of President Trump's speech.

She stacked the pages in such a way as to require 4 or 5 efforts at tearing up the entire speech. Take it to the bank, she just gave Trump an ad for why she no longer deserves her position as Speaker.

Pelosi was asked by reporters why she ripped up the speech.
“It was the courteous thing to do considering the alternatives,”  and with those words, she dismissed her reaction to the speech,  a first time in American history reaction,  and traded it in for one of the most immature displays ever seen in The Chamber.  Pure trash.

BTW: The Left will point to the notion that Trump refused to shake hands with Pelosi as he passed out his speech to Pence and the Speaker.  Me?  I am not sure that Trump saw the extended  hand as Pelosi extended her hand just as Trump was turning to face the audienc.

Lily Ledbetter was the Dems answer to "equal pay" issues (2009), and, apparently, it failed after being passed. Now, Pelosi is crying for immigration legislation when she could have had this passed into law in 2009 without GOP opposition.

“It’s the biggest thing that we can do, and that’s why I’ve said to the speaker, to the press, to these groups, I would rather pass [a] comprehensive immigration reform bill than win the elections in November,”

Editor's notes: understand the Democrat legislative strategy:  they use hope as an election cycle strategy,  but never pass a law that actually solves the problem   . . . . . . .  giving them the same election strategies for the next election cycle.

1.  Their war on poverty,  has been amended on several occasions since the 1960's.  3 trillion dollars spent of the past 4 decades,  and still,  they see this as an election year issue.

2.  Lily Ledbetter was a bill Obama signed into law in early 2009.  This bill was the end all to women's wage equality issues.  And, yet,  today,  it seems that no one remembers that law,  and,  most certainly,  the bill accomplished nothing when compared to its stated goals.

3.  Pelosi cries for immigration legislation,  but could have passed comprehensive legislation,  even amnesty,  any time during 2009,  when she was Speaker of the House and Over Lord of a super majority that give congressional Democrat the power of one party rule.  So why no legislation?  Because it is being used as a gimmick for coming elections   . . . .   period.

The fact that Hispanic legislators and media outlets have never held the Dems accountable for this unequivocal failure exposes them as "game players" on the same plane as their non-Hispanic cohorts.

Pelosi now tells the few who listen to her nonsense, that Holder is in "contempt" only because of the GOP's effort at voter repression.

<<<<<<<      In this 22 second video, she implies that there is a nation wide conspiracy to repress the minority vote.  She has no proof of this conspiracy,  nor does she care about the truth.  No wonder her polling numbers are the worst of any politician  on the Hill.

Never mind the fact that it was the Southern Democrats who invented voter repression.  Never mind that in the several states that have purged their voting rolls,  voter participation has increased.  Never mind the fact that not a single case of voter repression has been filed in any court of law . . . . . not one such case.  Never mind that Florida,  for example,  wanted to use the DOJ's voter lists as it sought to reconcile its voting rolls,  but were refused by Holder.

When she talks,  she sounds like the stereotypical "blond," a sheer dits of a political leader, but such is the leadership in her party.

Larry Sabato "shocks" the nation in predicting a solid GOP victory. We knew it all along.

US News and World Report: Typically cautious Larry Sabato, head of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, is rocking the political world with a new "Crystal Ball" prediction: The GOP will win the House, making Ohio's John Boehner speaker, might get a 50-50 split in the Senate, and will pick up some eight new governors.

"2010 was always going to be a Republican year, in the midterm tradition," Sabato said in his latest prediction, issued Thursday. "But conditions have deteriorated badly for Democrats over the summer. The economy appears rotten, with little chance of a substantial comeback by November 2nd. Unemployment is very high, income growth sluggish, and public confidence quite low. The Democrats' self-proclaimed 'Recovery Summer' has become a term of derision, and to most voters—fair or not—it seems that President Obama has over-promised and under-delivered."

Sabato on House elections: "Given what we can see at this moment, Republicans have a good chance to win the House by picking up as many as 47 seats, net. This is a 'net' number since the GOP will probably lose several of its own congressional districts in Delaware, Hawaii, and Louisiana. This estimate, which may be raised or lowered by election Day, is based on a careful district-by-district analysis, plus electoral modeling based on trends in President Obama's Gallup job approval rating and the Democratic-versus-Republican congressional generic ballot. If anything, we have been conservative in estimating the probable GOP House gains, if the election were being held today."

Sabato on the Senate: "In the Senate, we now believe the GOP will do a bit better than our long-time prediction of +7 seats. Republicans have an outside shot at winning full control (+10), but . . . . . . READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>>>

Editor's notes: Paul Bedard at US News is surprised at this prediction. He has been one of many telling folks that this election cycle is all about "the establishment" politician in both parties. Actually, is more about the Dems than anything else. They own the economy. It is their policies that have stymied the job market. Housing is in the tank and the mortgage redemption plans of the Dems has been an utter failure. The nation is more divided than in the past 50 years and that is all on Obama and Pelosi.

Pelosi says, "Let's investigate Harry Reid and the Twin Tower survivors who oppose the New Mosque."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, called for an investigation of those who are protesting the building of the Ground Zero Mosque on Tuesday.

She told San Francisco's KCBS radio: AUDIO

"There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque [is] being funded," she said. "How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we've been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City." (h/t Kristinn)

Calls to investigate the funding for those proposing the $100 million "Cordoba House" have fallen on deaf ears, though, as New York's Mayor Mike Bloomberg has described such an investigation as "un-American.". . . . . READ THE ARTICLE >>>

Editor's notes: and to think that this clown of a politician is two heartbeats away from the presidency !!! Is she calling for an investigation of Harry Reid? Or the growing Democrat chorus opposing the location of the mosque? Does the reader know that the Imam pushing this mosque is traveling in the Middle East, raising money for the mosque, ON OUR DIME ?? That's right -- we are paying for this terrorist sympathizer's [he refuses to condemn Hamas] trip across the Atlantic.

We wonder why Homeland Security is not concerned with who is paying for the mosque. If any of the monies are coming from terrorist agencies, that is in violation of the law. Where is Eric Holder and the DOJ . . . . or is this another Federal law they have decided to not enforce?

Coming back to this non-practicing Catholic legislator - why is she not concerned for the enforcement of Federal law? Why does she not care about the thousands of "survivors" of the Twin Towers, the grief they feel and their opposition to the site in question? Does she imagine that the "survivors" are all conservatives, all Republicans, all non-Muslims ?

Midknight Review thinks there needs to be an I.Q. standard applied to those who would seek political office. At least we won't have to listen to Pelosi or Maxine Waters any more.
