Here are the latest talking points coming from the WH versus the truth.

Editor's notes:  before reading the following,  understand this,  Obama has decided that, since he controls all of the information about ObamaCare,  his lies will work as he attempts to avoid the disaster that the midterms promise to be.  More than 80% of this nation believes Obama will intentionally lie,  at least "on occasion."  So far,  however,  he does not see a price for playing this word game.

Further,  since no one can actually challenge his claims with established and inescapable facts, at the moment,   he has decided to "double down" on the lies,  hence "more than 8 million" have signed up for ObamaCare.

Ask yourself this:  if ObamaCare has exceeded all its major goals,  why are the postponements still in force?  Why did he postpone cuts to Medicare Advantage this past week?  Why is the two year delay to the union mandate still in force?  I believe there is more,  but the very existence of the postponements prove his claims to nothing but [more] lies.

Now,  here is my take on the ObamaCare talking points.

******

Actual Obamacare results are in. And in most cases they are exceeding expectations.

8 Million+ citizens are now enrolled in Obamacare.

Editor:  Understand that 6 million Americans  were kicked off their existing insurance policies and “re-enlisted”  into ObamaCare.    These  are not newly insured.  Insurance companies tell us that only 15% of the nations previously uninsured have signed up.  In other words,  ObamaCare was created to provide insurance to the 48 million "previously uninsured."  To date,  somewhere between 600,000 and 1.5 million of the "uninsured" have enrolled,  a terrible failure rate.

35% of citizens enrolled in Obamacare are under 35 years old.

Editor:  7% of these “enrollees” are under age 18 and are automatically included when their parents enroll.  Only 28% of young  adults are paying (maybe,  someday) “customers.” the fact that this man has to lie about this number,  means "things are not going well for ObamaCare"  . . . . . . . .  period.

Obamacare has brought economic security to all consumers of health insurance.

Editor:  I have no idea why this was written.  No one on Medicare has benefited from ObamaCare,  not in the slightest.

Over 14 million have received insurance over the exchanges and via the Medicaid expansion to Obamacare.

Editor:  Medicaid expansion is not ObamaCare.  They are different.  Medicaid is a state run insurance   “safety net”  and is not extended to single,  unmarried,  Americans.

Medical cost is now growing at less than 1/2 the previous rates.

Editor:  this is a preposterous lie for those who actually pay for their coverage.  Premiums have gone up at record rates; deductibles have skyrocketed;  and  healthcare accessibility has been sharply limited.  These are the facts.

Obamacare is shrinking the deficits.

Editor:  another outrageous lie.  ObamaCare now enlists Medicare and Medicaid.  Medicare,  alone,  is 42 TRILLION dollars in arrears and ObamaCare’s first ten year cost (ending in 2020) is around a (minus) trillion dollars with the 2nd 10 year projection being a minus 4 trillion dollars.

Understand that ObamaCare has been collecting taxes since 2010 without having to pay for insurance claims.  Ten years of tax collections versus 6 years of outlays.  That is the first 10 “bait and switch” program.  The second ten year period,  will be 10 years of tax collections and 10 years of payouts.  Very bad news for all us taxpayers.  You “takers”  have nothing to worry about.

The Administration claims 7.1 million enrollees; its friends in the Progressive world, are saying "11 million." Are these numbers "truth." Could "3 million" be the actual number of those previously uninsured?

Here's the story line,  from the very liberal/progressive,   Bill Moyers Dot Com:

When the Supreme Court ruled that states could decline Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion without facing a penalty, the justices set in motion a process that’s now pushing our two countries even further apart as about half of the states passed on the opportunity to insure their poorer residents.
[Truth: only 14 partner states have ObamaCare/Medicaid programs.  The "about half" total is sheer tripe ~ blog editor.]
The overall numbers are in, and for all its warts, Obamacare appears to have extended insurance coverage to about ten million people who didn’t have it before. (The precise number varies from study to study, but as Josh Marshall ofTalking Points Memo points out, they’re all in the same ballpark.)
[Truth: the Urban Institute came up with 5.4 million,  hardly "in the same ballpark" as the inflated "10 million insured" claim ~ blog editor.]
According to Gallup, the share of Americans who lack health insurance has fallen to the lowest level since before the Great Recession began.

[Truth: if "they" could find someone at Bill Moyer.com who could actually read with comprehension,  they would know that the Gallup report fixes the decrease as being 15.6%,  down from a high of 17.1% "the lowest since 2008."  If you study the accompanying Gallup chart, however,  you realize that uninsured rates, by the quarter,  in 2008,  were  at 14.6, 14.4, and 15.4 - all below the uninsured number Moyers.com is bragging about.   It is stunning,  the work that is put into telling one lie after another,  in the name of "good governance."  ]
But the Urban Institute offers a fascinating finding: The rate of uninsured is now almost 50 percent higher in states that refused the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) Medicaid expansion (18.1 percent) than in those that embraced the policy (12.4 percent).

******
Editor's notes:  After reading this report (above) ,  the take-away is that 10 million uninsured have signed on,  into  ObamaCare.

Problem(s):  The article implicitly pretends that Medicare and ObamaCare are the same programs.  Further,  it does not allow for returning Medicare enrollees who are renewing their Medicare insurance,  or, for those retiring into Medicare,  folks who would have signed up for Medicare anyway  --  without ObamaCare.    It does not count the 6 million against its "10 million" total,  folks who lost their insurance because of ObamaCare,  and,  had to reapply under ObamaCare.    And,  it ignores most estimates,  from the insurance industry,  that fix the number of previously uninsured at 3 million or 15.6% of the population,  down from 17.1% previously uninsured.   So much for our first impression,  coming from this article.
Our second impression comes from the last paragraph in our lede story.  With that last thought,  we have an implied criticism, one that silently  charges  the 34 states not participating in the Medicaid Exchanges with fostering higher populations of uninsured,  as if they (the states) are to blame for the comparatively high uninsured rates mentioned in the Moyer article.

Understand that these states did not refuse these anyone,  ObamaCare did.  ObamaCare is functioning in all 50 states.  Because the Federal Government cannot organize it's way out of a pay toilet,  is nothing against those states refusing to explode their Medicaid roles simply because Obama thinks it is "the right thing to do."
Understand this,  states cannot print money;  they have to balance their budgets.  Obama's decision to explode the Medicaid/Medicare rolls is both financially foolhardy and absolutely unsustainable.   The non-participating states said "no,"  because of this financial circumstance.

One last matter:  if you click on the references in the lede story quoted above,  you will eventually come across the claim that 3 million stay-at-home youth are now signed-up with ObamaCare . . . . . . . another utter lie.

You should know that this "3.1 million" number is the total number for stay-at-home,  adult youth underage 26, according to Central Planning estimates.    Because they (the 3.1 million youth) automatically qualify for ObamaCare,  does not mean that all 3.1 million families with stay-at-home youth,   have enrolled in ObamaCare.  Enrollment is not "automatic."  In fact,  that has not happened,  but the Administration continues with this (3 million) lie,  desperate as it is,  to make the numbers "work."

3.1 million adults under age 26 are now insured? Or is this a more accurate picture: 3.1 million youth are qualified to be covered?

<<<  Come on folks.  THINK.  You can get lost in the weeds of this report,  or depend on the fact that the man who has lied about every single aspect of this law,  is,  suddenly,  telling us all,  the truth, or you can add up the numbers,  for yourself,  and know this is all another Obama Shell Game.

Editor's notes:  If folks would just stop to think for a moment,  they would know the claim Obama made,  yesterday,  that 3.1 million young are now covered,  because of ObamaCare,  cannot be true.

Think about it: With all the problems related to the sign up via the healthcare wedsite,  this number would mean that every family of three or more,  with an adult under aged 26, still living at home,  was able to "get through," complete the signing requirements and pay their first due"  premiums . . . . every single family,  all 3 million of them.  Ridiculous.  But Obama believes that April Fools Day is and was the day he turned the debate over ObamaCare into a winning issue for the Democrats.

What you have,  below,  is a comprehensive article,  in its entirety,  parsing this  "3.1" million" number/claim and doing so,  in a paper complete with end notes.  I have highlighted in red,  a statement or three,  that seems to be of most interest.

I must admit,  however, that the reader can get "lost in the weeds" of this report.  The report,  for example,  debates whether the actual number of those aged 26 and under,  still living at home,  is 3.1 mill or 2.8.  Besides,  "numbers" are boring and,  as we all know,  can be manipulated.   Me?  I don't care.

The argument for or against this particular claim is profoundly less complicated than it might appear from the following report.  The fact of the matter is this: A family with an "at home underage 26 year old" is,  at least, a three member family, for the most part.  If all youth/adult are,  now,  actually covered,  we have nearly 10 million folks in ObamaCare PLUS, the families and individuals who have enrolled.

Are you aware,  that, before this debate began,  some 16 million Americans were insured,  individually,  apart from workplace insurance?  That has been the Administration's/HHS number all along. This "16 million" number is not in debate. Remember that number.

Now,  think about this: It is not "3.1 million youth,"  but 3.1 million families with uninsured,  stay-at-home young adults, that we are talking about.  Well,  3.1 million families with a third child,  is 9 million people, is it not?  When you add all those who are supposedly enrolled IN ADDITION to the 3 member families,  it would be reasonable to believe that 13 to 16 million folks are now included in ObamaCare.

Again,  Obama's claim would mean that all 13 to 16 million Americans with private insurance, are now,  successfully enrolled in ObamaCare  . . . . .  an idiot's claim,  if there ever was one.

But wait!!  There is more:  This would mean that the sign-up period was wildly successful,  would it not?  This would mean that the postponements,  announced for "tardy" registrants and the two year, small and large,  employer mandates (another 160 million policies),   are no longer needed.  This would mean that rates will,  indeed go down as Obama had promised.  This would mean there is no need for fines and penalties,  since everyone who could,  has already enrolled.

Come on folks.  THINK.  You can get lost in the weeds of this report,  or depend on the fact that the man who has lied about every single aspect of this law,  is,  suddenly,  telling us all,  the truth, or you can add up the numbers,  for yourself,  and know this is all another Obama Shell Game.

A Slacking Figure: Despite What President Obama and the Los Angeles Times Say, 3.1 Million Young Adults Have Not Received Coverage via Their Parents' Insurance
by David Hogberg, Ph.D.
Yesterday President Obama claimed that "more than 3 million young adults... have gained insurance under this law by staying on their family's plan."1
Indeed, the number of young people who can now stay on their parents' insurance plans until age 26—the so-called "slacker mandate"—is one of the most oft-repeated ObamaCare statistics. The Los Angeles Times used it in a recent article to claim that because of ObamaCare "at least 9.5 million previously uninsured people have gained coverage."2 That included not only the 3.1 million young adults who are covered by their parents' plans but also about 2 million on the exchanges and 4.5 million on Medicaid.
The exchange and Medicaid numbers are highly problematic and have been challenged elsewhere.3 Yet the 3.1 million young adults figure seems nearly infallible. For example, when disputing the Medicaid numbers back in January, Ezra Klein claimed, "The 3.1 million young adults who got coverage through the new insurance regulations is a pretty reliable figure."4
Well, no, it's not.
The 3.1 million figure comes from a June 2012 report from the Department of Health and Human Services.5 The slacker mandate went into effect in late September 2010. Using data from the Center for Disease Control's National Health Interview Survey, HHS estimated that the number of 19-25-year-olds with insurance was about 64.4 percent in the third quarter of 2010 and was 74.8 percent in the last quarter of 2011. HHS took that increase of 10.4 percent and multiplied it with the number of 19-25-year-olds in the U.S. in 2011—about 29.7 million according to the Census Bureau—which yielded 3.1 million. (Note: The 29.7 million figure actually refers to the number of 18-24-year-olds in the U.S. in 2010.6 HHS apparently assumed there was that same number of 19-25-year-olds in the U.S. one year later, in 2011.)
The actual data in the National Health Interview Survey7 shows serious shortcomings of the HHS approach:
Table 1: Insured 19-25-Year-Olds, 2010 Q3-2011 Q4
The increase in the number of insured 19-25-year-olds came from both private insurance and public sources such as Medicaid. To get a more accurate assessment of young adults on their parents' policies, the HHS should have restricted its calculation to the increase in private coverage, which was 9.5 percent. Multiplied against 29.7 million yields 2.8 million, not 3.1 million.
Still, 2.8 million is nothing to sneeze at. However, what's curious is that HHS hasn't updated its analysis since June 2012. The June 2012 analysis was an update from a December 2011 report8 that found 2.5 million 19-25-year-olds had gained coverage, which was itself an update on the 1 million figure from a September 2011 report.9
A look at the most recent data10 on 19-25-year-olds from the National Health Interview Survey shows why HHS hasn't released an update in over 21 months:
Table 2: Insured 19-25-Year-Olds, 2010 Q3-2012 Q3
The number of insured 19-25-year-olds had declined by the third quarter of 2012. Private coverage had dropped by 2.1 percent. Multiply that against the roughly 30 million 19-25-year-olds in the U.S. in 2012, and the number of young people on their parents' policies declined by about 600,000, to 2.2 million. Apparently the slacker mandate is losing its effectiveness.
There are other reasons to be suspicious of the 3.1 million figure. For starters, it doesn't jibe with Census Bureau numbers.11 The Census Bureau shows that from 2009, the year before the slacker mandate began, to 2012, the number of uninsured 18-24-year-olds declined by about 976,000. But not all of those went onto their parents' insurance. For that age group, Medicaid enrollment grew 271,000 and employer-based coverage increased 447,000 during that same period. That would mean that those newly insured by joining their parents' coverage were at most 258,000.
The huge difference between the two surveys isn't easy to explain. Undoubtedly part of the explanation is found in the fact that the Census Bureau asks about insurance status only in its surveys from February to April while the National Health Interview Survey asks about it year round. Also contributing to the discrepancy is that neither survey specifically asks a young adult if he or she received coverage via his or her parents' insurance.
That said, the biggest source of confusion is found in HHS's methods. What HHS did amounts to little more than a "back of the envelope" calculation. To really get at how many young adults are newly covered under their parents' policies would require surveys asking very detailed questions about the source of insurance. It would probably also require more sophisticated statistical analysis that could estimate the impact of the slacker mandate while controlling for other factors such as the economy and Medicaid enrollment. As it stands, all we have is an estimate of the number of young adults who gained coverage via their parents that is unreliable—far too unreliable for major newspapers to be repeating it.

Take the quiz. Democrats are invited, as well, but this quiz is about math - not your best intellectual enterprise.

So,  they claim to have 4 million signed up. two weeks ago,  it was 7 million.  Last week,  it was 10 million,  but,  of course,  they are being as honest as they can (afford to be).

Let's go with most recent number of "4 million."  At least 20% of these folks have not received a bill or paid a bill.  That brings the number of folks who actually have coverage down to 3.2 million.  Now,  if you subtract 3.2 million from 6.3 million (cancellations due to ObamaCare),  the geniuses in DC still have 3 million to go before they reach "zero."    At the end of March and the first enrollment period,  what do you think the net total will be,  as reported by our Marxist Media?
a.  6 million
b.  4 million
c 10 million
d. 7 million,
e. or Zero

Obama's wild claims of success for ObamaCare earns 4 Pinocchios from the Washington Post. In other words, Obama just told another whopper.

All of the following is cut and paste from the WaPost.  You should read the full article  ~blog editor.

Obama’s claim that 7 million got ‘access to health care for the first time’ because of his Medicaid expansion

“We’ve got close to 7 million Americans who have access to health care for the first time because of Medicaid expansion.”
The Fact Checker has written several times about the fuzziness of the Medicaid numbers issued by the Obama administration. But it is like playing whack-a-mole. Every time we rap someone for getting it wrong, the same problem pops up someplace else.
But here is the ultimate authority — the president of the United States — making the problematic claim that everyone counted under the administration’s Medicaid math is getting “access to health care for the first time.” Time for a refresher course!

The Facts

Medicaid is the health-care program for the poor, generally those at or below the federal poverty level. The Affordable Care Act expanded it to individuals with incomes of up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level (about $15,850), though the Supreme Court gave states the option of whether to participate. . . . .
Avalere, a health consulting firm, in a recent analysis raised serious questions about the 6.3 million Medicaid figure [Obama's "7 million" claim ~ blog editor] , estimating that only 1.1 million to 1.8 million of the claimed enrollees could be attributed to the Affordable Care Act. That estimate generated headlines, including a full report in The Washington Post that said it suggested “many of the people who have joined the program since the initiative’s rollout in October would have done so absent the law.”
Charles Gaba, who keeps careful track of enrollment figures at ACASignups.net, has disputed some of Avalere’s reasoning but has also concluded that not all of the Medicaid data released by the administration can be attributed to the ACA. Here’s how he breaks down the numbers as of Feb. 22:
7,132,277 — deemed eligible for Medicaid
4,815,617 — Medicaid expansion states only, including people coming out of the “woodwork” and “normal churn”
2,600,000 — Medicaid expansion states only, no “woodwork” or normal churn of Medicaid applicants  . . . . . .
The White House declined to comment.

The Pinocchio Test

What does this mean in terms of evaluating the president’s statement? He seems to be falling into the same trap as other Democrats, and some reporters, by assuming that everyone in the Medicaid list is getting health insurance for the first time because of the Affordable Care Act. But that number is nowhere close to 7 million. It could be as low as 1.1 million (Avalere) or as high as 2.6 million (Gaba.) If one wanted to be generous, one could include people coming out of the woodwork, even though they would have been covered under the old law, but no one is really sure what that figure is.
In any case, no matter how you slice it, it does not add up to 7 million. It is dismaying that given all of the attention to this issue, the president apparently does not realize that the administration’s data are woefully inadequate for boastful assertions of this type.

Four Pinocchios

Fox News reports the lose of 2 million jobs "in the coming decade." Wrong. Its going to happen before Obama finishes his presidency - just ask the CBO.

<<<< Job creation?  Yes !!!  No work available?  Even better.  You Progressives must be proud.  You finally control a nation in which making sense counts absolutely nothing.  And you all laugh at us "anti-intellectual" Right Wingers

Obamacare will push the equivalent of about 2 million workers out of the labor market by 2017 as employees decide either to work fewer hours or drop out of the job market altogether, according to estimates released Tuesday by the Congressional Budget Office.

The analysis set off a furious debate in Washington. The White House argued that the reduction is positive because it means Americans will forgo jobs or extra work to stay home with their children or strike out on their own as entrepreneurs. Republicans, however, said the report amounted to an “I told you so” moment and that subtracting the equivalent of 2 million workers can’t be good for the economy.   The CBO said the number of workers dropping out of the labor force will grow from 2 million in 2017 to 2.5 million by 2024.

Although part of those numbers are attributed to job cuts, the vast majority represent workers who decide it makes more sense to stay home or work fewer hours, weighing the higher taxes they pay in the workforce versus their qualifications for benefits if they drop out . . . . . .

Editor's notes:  I posted on this just yesterday  . . . .  same story,  same excerpt.   What I did not expect was the Administration's response.  Incredibly,  the Progressives are celebrating the new freedom of the American people,  to pursue their dreams apart from the apparent need to earn a living!!  Good grief.

No concern,  no sense of defeat and no need to change the circumstances that will drive these people away from the workforce.  Time for a little leadership that is not based in sheer buffoonery.

The following video,  an idiot's prediction about job creation resulting from ObamaCare,  was made by Pelosi before the signing of Obama in 2010.  Back then,  she thought job creation was a positive.  Now,  today, she and her other impostors,  have changed their tune,  not because of a core belief,  but because they continue to believe they can say anything and the people will believe them.

Job creation?  Yes !!!  No work available?  Even better.  You Progressives must be proud.  You finally control a nation in which making sense counts absolutely nothing.  And you all laugh at us "anti-intellectual" Right Wingers.

Obama lead us all to believe that the existing relationships with our doctors and our insurance companies were secure, planning all along on blaming the insurance companies when his lie was exposed. Turns out even his compliant media sees the planned deception for what it is.

It is significant that the following comes out of the Washington Post,  a huge supporter of Obama and the Socialist/Progressive agenda in this country.  In dealing with Obama’s  “apology” on NBC,  Thursday evening,  the WaPost includes its criticism of the Obama apology with these words:

What Obama isn't offering is an apology for the cancellation notices themselves. Eliminating certain health plans from the market -- ones that the White House thinks are too skimpy -- is a feature, not a bug, of the Affordable Care Act. You can read more about that here in our FAQ on why about 7 million to 12 million health plans are being terminated under the Affordable Care Act.  . . . .   from the WaPost, here.

Under ObamaCare,  a policy must include all of the following,  whether the client needs or request them,  or not:

 Ambulatory patient services
 Emergency services
 Hospitalization
 Maternity and newborn care
 Mental health and substance abuse disorder services, including
behavioral health treatment
 Prescription drugs
 Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices
 Laboratory services
 Preventive and wellness services and chronic disease

Clearly,  many millions will not need maternity, newborn care, drug rehabilitation services,   or pediatric services for child dental and vision services.

Of the 168 million American holding existing insurance policies, all of which  will be amended by ObamaCare demands (there are several million policies in addition to the 168 million),  only 17 million will qualify for premium assistance from our comrades at Central Planning,  a point few reporting services and blogs are making with their readership.

The effect of this reality (that only 17 million of the 168 million will qualify for subsidies) is this:  the vast majority of Americans losing their current policies and being forced into ObamaCare will see either increase premiums and/or increased annual deductible,  financial burdens they must pay without any help from Central Planning  . . . . .  and then they have two elections (2014 and 2016) in which to register their opinions.

The Democrats have created the perfect storm for themselves,  or so it would appear.

Obama scored 3 million fewer votes in his second presidential election than in 2008,  while Romney totaled one million more than McCain,  yet Obama was able to claim the victory.  Dissatisfaction across the nation was the theme of the day,  but, the GOP candidate ran a tiresome and feckless campaign (again),  and the GOP lost the most important presidential election in our lifetimes.

While the perfect storm has been given energy,  this question remains:  will the Socialist/Progressives be able to survive the coming two elections?   Only time will tell.
