Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan said conditions at the U.S.-Mexico border are improving thanks to congressional funding.  In a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi this week, McAleenan said supplemental funding approved by Congress has improved the immediate needs at the border — particularly for children. He said no other law enforcement agency in the U.S. is doing more to ensure the health and safety of those it encounters than the Customs and Border Protection.
