Mueller was charged with searching out the charge that the Russians worked with Trump to win the 2016 presidential campaign . . . . that Trump was actually an agent of the Russian government or, at the very least, colluded with Russia to win the presidency.
That was his original charge. The second the investigation moved away from this original charge was the second the Mueller Investigation became a witch hunt. Most informed sources (Democrat or GOP) no longer believe Mueller is dealing with the Collusion issue.
There is the question as to whether Mueller has actually moved away from this original charge, however. Of the 81 subpoenas issued by Gerry Nadler, only 30 have anything to do with Russian influence and none of the 40 odd indictments have anything to do with Russian Ollusion . . . not one indictment.
Soo, "yes," its a damn fishing trip and nothing more but with the expressed goal of over-turning a bonifide and 100% legal election.
