Shocking Headline: Dems my take the House! Ah, historically, they are SUPPOSED to reclaim the House.

The website Politico reports that based on its own analysis, there are now 209 congressional seats “either firmly or leaning in the Democratic column — only nine shy of the 218 the party needs to wrest away control of the chamber.”

I would add that "leaning Democrat" is the very description of a competitive seat.  In other words,  they may be far short of 209 ~ editor

The analysis also said 68 GOP seats are “at play” and could go either way.  Politico claims that "this could reshape the face of Congress."

Now,  this type of Hype News is fairly worthless.  First,  it is not news that the party out of power reclaims the House  . . . . . .  in every election cycle for the past 100 years except
for twice.  Clinton (in power) lost 53 seats in his first midterm and the big-eared/big mouth Barack Obama lost 64 seats in his first midterm. If the Dems in this election do not match those number,  win or lose, this election cycle will have been a referendum on their feckless existence as a political party.  Of course,  the Dems could pull off a referendum election,  but no one is forecasting this except Politico.  I  mean,  if Trump won in 2016,  the Dems could surprise us all in this election cycle.

Personally, I don't think polling methodologies have changed since 2016,  so none of us knows what is about to happen.  I do know this:  After being pronounced and gone gone gone with the elections of 2008,  the Conservative Movement is alive and well and the working man Middle Class is not going away.
