Susan Rice, the national security adviser to former President Barack Obama, intends to challenge Sen. Collins in 2020,

It is not clear if Rice is serious about challenging Collins, who was first elected to the Senate in 1996. Collins won her last re-election bid by a wide margin, winning 68 percent of the vote against her Democratic challenger.

Understand That Susan Collins seems to be the perfect mix of conservative principles and liberal "good intentions" for those living in the more liberal NorthEast. Susan Rice, on the other hand, is little more than an Obama operative, as close to a traitor as one can get. She will fail in her bid to defeat Collins and fail in profound terms.
