Mitch is making the Dems pay for their ridiculous "resistance" tactics in the Senate.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell intends to keep the chamber in session for a significant portion of October, costing Democrats Senators critical campaign time in their home districts.  His refusal to adjourn allows the Senate to continue its work into the fall.   In case his conserative onlookers get the wrong opinion,  the Senate Majority leader wants  folks to know that he understands the importance of getting Senate confirmation for as many lifetime judicial nominations and executive nominations as he can.  You should know that this is not about winning elections as much as it is about not wasting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to set the federal court system back on the right track  . . .  and I do mean the Right track.  Understand that Senate control is threatened in the coming election cycle.  Allowing Senate Democrats to win the battle over federal court confirmations while loosing control of the Senate,   would be an elective disaster for McConnell and he knows it.  Hats off to the Senator.
