The Leftout Folks continue misunderstand and misinform with regard to Shira Law. Here is a perfect example.

Dean Obeidallah / The Daily Beast:
Meet the Man Turning Anti-Muslim Hate Into Law Sixteen years after the 9/11 attacks and anti-Muslim bigotry is not only alive, it's thriving.  In fact, Donald Trump would likely not be president without it because his demonization of Muslims during the GOP primaries played a big role in securing the nomination   . . . . . .    So who is Yerushalmi? The “Legalizing Othering” report explains that he’s “the leading figure behind the anti-Sharia law movement.” Yerushalmi, a lawyer and a “veteran of the right-wing Israeli settlers movement,” has claimed for years that American Muslims want to impose Islamic law. Of course, in reality the U.S. Constitution protects us against the imposition of any such laws by way of the Supremacy Clause, which expressly states, “This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof… shall be the supreme law of the land.” And there are zero instances of Muslim-American leaders or politicians advocating the replacement of American law with a system of laws based on the Quran.  (this last sentence is blatantly untrue.  Iman's
Editor's notes:  Understand that those who defend Shira Law are,  at the same time,  those who have little regard for US legal traditions and established in our Constitution.  They are to one degree or another,  anti-American.
The wannabee Muslim,  Barack Obama,  was the first political leader to defend Shira.  His anti-American positioning is clear in this statement from Michelle Obama:
So what is Shira?  I am including the following description from a Huffington Post article that actually defends Shira.  What the article says,  actually works against the Huff/Post purpose for the article when it admits that Shira "  . . . .  can influence the legal systems of Muslim-majority countries :

Sharia is drawn from two main sources ― the Quran, Islam’s holy book, and the Sunnah, or the example set by the Prophet Muhammad. It encompasses both a personal moral code and a general religious law that can influence the legal systems of Muslim-majority countries. It’s also a living body of law ― it developed over the centuries and is still being examined with fresh eyes by Muslim scholars and believers today.

Many religions have legal codes that offer ethical and moral guidelines for practitioners of the faith ― from the canon law of the Catholic Church to Jewish religious rules and practices, called Halakhah (which, like Sharia, also means “the path that one walks.”) And just as opinions about these laws vary greatly within each of these traditions, Muslims around the world fall on a vast spectrum when it comes to how to interpret Sharia.

You should know that more than "influencing" national law,  Shira is the basis for the national legal systems of most Muslim majority nations.  In contrast,  the US Constitution is the basis for our domestic legal system.

To many American Muslims,  Shira Law replaces all other domestic/secular national law,  and stands in direct conflict to our US Constitution   . . . . . .     period.

Much more can be written,  but this is major and uncontested take-away concerning Shira Law.
