If you live in Florida, and many of my readers do, you need to know that this storm with winds, now, at over 200 mph, will cause an ocean surge (a wall of water) of 10 to 12 feet or near the height of a single story home.

The surge, itself, will destroy many/most homes in its path so GET OUT OF YOUR HOME. Stop being a hero and get out.
