Trump is keeping his promise in dealing with the U.N.

The beautiful aspect of this cut is found in the fact that the Trump Administration was successful in making this cut a  "A U.N. cut,"  as opposed to something the United States did on its own, unilaterally.  My thinking is this:  If 7.3 billion dollars [after the cut] is not three times what the UN needs to accomplish whatever it thinks it is accomplishing in terms of peace,  no one understands the true meaning "bait and switch."  Much of this money goes to other "causes" including the health and well being of any number of repressive national regimes.  Very little goes to effectively dealing with repressive regimes such as N Korea or Russia's European meddling or fighting the drug empires in Mexico   ~  editor.

The Daily Beast:   The United Nations has tentatively agreed to cut nearly $600 million from the organization’s peacekeeping budget after pressure from President Trump's White House to reduce funding. Under the agreement, the UN will spend $7.3 billion on peacekeeping in the next year, down from the current amount of $7.87 billion, Agence France-Press reported Wednesday. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley cheered the agreement on Twitter late Wednesday. “Just 5 months into our time here, we've cut over half a billion [dollars] from the UN peacekeeping budget and we’re only getting started,” she wrote. Trump had previously angered UN diplomats by pushing for a $1 billion cut to funding. Human Rights Watch has warned against the proposed budget cuts, saying the “misguided” move would leave vulnerable civilians in Darfur without crucial protections. The deal is due for a vote by the UN General Assembly on Friday, where it is expected to be approved.

  1. Tillerson lost control of himself and began yelling at a top Donald Trump staffer while in front of other Trump staffers, according to a Politico report. As it turns out Tillerson’s frustrations with Trump are largely the same as those who oppose Trump

    1. Where do you come up with this crap. Every day, you submit this kind of garbage. Clearly you are plagiarizing someone's work, a "someone" who is as off base as you. These kinds comments are proven wrong with the passing of time. None of your forecasts have proven out to be true. More importantly, none of your comments are sourced.

I told you well in advance of the media of the grand jury empaneled in E. VA that has subpoenaed Flynn, also of the appointment of a special council, also that Trump was lying about the Comey tapes, the list goes on. You are the reality denier.

    3. Trump wasn't lying about the tapes. In fact he never said he had any tapes, only that "You better hope there are no tapes." Maybe the NSA has them. It was Comey who was lying, and broke the law when he leaked to the Wa/Post. As far as Flynn is concerned, I don't keep up with that part of the investigation because I don't care what they find out about the General.

  2. think I've figured it out. Why you idolize Trump.

Trump idolizes Putin, and is beholden to him financially, as are his sons.

    1. I agree (not idolize) with Trump in nearly all of his agenda. You should too. As far as Trump being in Putin's debt, that is just plain crazy. It was Obama who was in love with Putin, the man, and promised to be his flexible servant, not Trump. It was Obama who allowed Putin's Russia to meddle in our elections. Trump was an international success and a "billionaire" long before Putin came to power.

  3. Unlike Trump, a poor corrupt mediocre businessman, Putin is a truly rich man. One of the richest in the world. Why? Because he has used his position to as Russian leader to bilk his country for billions of personal wealth. That is what Trump most admires about Putin and wants to be just like him.

    1. Putin is not one of the richest men in the world. He is a ruthless dictator and because you admire his "business sense" simply means that you are part of the conspiracy crowd. You can't point to anything outside of your illogical bias that supports your fantasy accusations. And there you are, bleeding the taxpayers of Tennessee dry, and you run around town in your short shorts, taking breaks to pretend that you are James Taylor. What a pathetic laughing stock you have become.

  4. Do you really believe Trump is acting like a person with nothing to hide?

    1. Yes. You need to ask yourself, "If after a stinking a year of looking, and countless intel folks admitting they have no evidence, why the hell is my side continuing to 'investigate?' "

And while your side is pursuing "nothing," Trump is making trade deals after trade deals, and building on his legacy while destroying Barack "I wannabee a Muslim" Obama.

If he is guilty, why is he not kissing ass and acting submissive . . . . kind of like Obama did so well. If he was guilty, why not stop challenging Intel and the Dems to find something. He is totally in their face . . . . not a good thing to do if the man is guilty.

GOP investigates Benghazi/ Clinton for 17 months, what did they find?

    3. It was found that Clinton ran guns into Syria. That is why there were 40 CIA agents in Benghazi the night she and Obama slept through the 7 hour attack. We know that she lied about that video being the cause of the attack. We know that she refused upgrades to the embassy and refused to give Ambassador Stephens more security upon his repeated requests.

we know that she destroyed 33,000 emails AFTER being told to preserve all videos and documents.

  5. Russian President Vladimir Putin has amassed a massive fortune, potentially the largest in the world. International Business Times pointed out on Wednesday that Putin's fortune could be as much as $200 billion.

    1. So you think Putin is a business man instead of a theif and a dangerous international, money grubbing bully? Good grief.

    2. Putin got rich off the state, that's why Trump loves him, aspires to do the same. Use the presidency for his personal gain.
