The Press is angry that Trump gets to remind us all, just how effective he is as President.

Maggie Haberman / New York Times: Trump Turns an Iowa Rally Into a Venting Session  —  CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — President Trump said on Wednesday that he was crafting legislation to bar new immigrants from receiving welfare for at least five years.  He announced the proposal in a conquering-hero-returns speech in Iowa

Notes:  That last phrase in my excerpt is the part that really gets to the Coummun-ist Media.  They hate the fact that they can't shut the guy up or down.  Nothing is working on him.  Nothing.  You should know that immigrants coming into this country are required to provide their own income  . . . .  nothing new about that requirement.

I listened to the speech,  as did millions.  What we heard was a President we elected,  telling us about promises made and promises kept.  There are many.  Obama,  during this same period of time in in his presidency,  was busy crafting legislation that violated his campaign pledges.  His Stimulus Bill of 2009 was a pay-for-play refund to the unions and Democrat districts that supported him in his election.  80% of that on trillion dollar (counting interest on the money borrowed) went to Democrat constituencies.  And his health care bill,  was nothing but an insurance reform bill that punished all but the very poor.  He forced compliance,  ordered that penalties be paid,  and then would brag about how many folks were signing up.  Still,  more folks opted out of this coverage,  hoping that the fines would not be too harsh,  than signed up for the coverage.

At any rate,  Trump is about keeping his promises and returning this country to something similar to what it was before:  A nation founded on laws,  laws written via congressional process instead of by a faux authoritarian ruler.  That's what they are mad about  -  that the people are back in charge.
