Brietbart: President Obama, the New York Times reports, wants $1 billion to fuel
his post-presidential legacy, which will include his presidential
library and a series of political causes that he believes in.
In recent months, Obama has been hobnobbing with wealthy CEOs and
Wall Street bankers at the White House, drinking “extra-dry Grey Goose
martinis” as he waxes eloquently about his presidential library. Tech
moguls have pitched him ways to make his library a digital
state-of-the-art facility to expand his policies around the world.
Notes: The fact that Barack does not have the money needed for his library is evidence of his political unpopularity. Read what I just wrote very carefully. I said, "political unpopularity," and I stand by that comment.
Since becoming President, Barack has witnessed the near demise of his party: Governorships have fallen from 28 state houses to 17; more than 1200 state and local Democrat representatives are gone - flipped to Republican; two thirds of all state houses of congress (state Senates and Houses of Representatives) are now in the hands of the GOP and the GOP has won three of the past four national elections.
In terms of "representation," the Democrat Party is as weak as it was back in the days of Reconstruction, following the Civil War (a war they started, by the way).
Finally, Bloomberg publication gives President Trump a 55% chance of being re-elected; he holds 92% of those who voted for him back in 2016; he has an 84% support margin of those within the GOP; he is back to "50%" in his Rasmussen approval rating. AND, he is just beginning to reverse the harm done to him by the most severe/one sided Progressive assault on any President in modern day history.
The plans for the Obama library, unlike similar Republican institutions, will be a monument dedicated to the community, not to himself.
ReplyDeleteObama can't give a 15 minute speech without mentioning himself 30/40 times. A monument to the people. What a load of crap. He didn't give a crap about the people's opinion, even within his own party. And, he will not begin with this library . . . . . a place that will be built on lies and misinformation.
