Fake News Story #185: Hillary is more a hawk than Trump.

The Daily Mail,  an anti-Trump news outlet,  repeatedly states that Hillary suggested a bombing raid on Syria hours before Trump made the call.  I am calling this a "fake news story" for more than one reason.

First.  the Daily Mail has no idea as to when Trump made his call.  We do.

Secondly,  Hillary was Barack Obama's approving Secretary of State and his refusal to use brute force against Syria.  Her words are hollow in view of her history.

Fox News reported that the crew on board of the USS Porter and the USS Ross,  required two days training to prepare for the Tomahawk missile strikes on Thursday.  The siran gas attack was on Tuesday.  I would argue that Trump made his call almost immediately follow the Syrian gas attack.

Make note that,  without doubt,  Hillary's call for airstrikes against Syria did not involve an unilateral response on the part of the United States.  Rather,  she would have waited to gather an alliance, taking days if not weeks, would have sent warning after warning,  and would not have stuck with the same devastation as did Trump.

  1. In 2013, when a sarin nerve gas attack left more than 1,400 dead outside Damascus, President Barack Obama went to Congress to get approval to strike.
183 Republicans were against bombing the country. Only 12 Republicans, including then-House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), sided with the president to launch a strike. 243 Congressional members swaying towards voting “No.”

    1. Was this the only time Barack went to congress? besides, we all know the Coward in Chief didn't want to keep his Red Line promise , to he went to a grown men's club that would not give him permission. Trump knew that he would face the same outcome, so he skipped the mindless debate and actually did something. Hail to the Chief.
