Understand that Donald Trump met election law requirements as to his tax statement. All that is required is a summary tax declaration. His 140 page statement, the most lengthy in American election history, fulfilled his obligation in that regard. Demands for further information is nothing short of a witch hunt for names and organization attached to Trump, names and information to be used by Democrat research and campaign entities as they continue their painful rejection of this year's campaign results.

Senate Democrats are, now, pushing to require Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees to release their tax returns, as well.    Just to be clear, this latest effort is not about transparency but about a back door effort to get at the names and business partners of Donald J Trump.

Democrat members of three committees said at a press conference, Thursday, that Trump’s nominees, especially those who are extremely wealthy, should be scrutinized for their financial dealings and potential conflicts of interests. There was no explanation offered by Democrats as to why conflict of interest was not an issue with their own favorite candidates, especially Bill and Hillary and the Clinton Foundation     . . . . . .     currently [still] under FBI investigation. Neither is there any mention of Barack's college and high school transcripts, or an explanation for how he managed to get into Harvard as an average and unaccomplished student.

But that sad part of our history is over. Research into Obama's background will continue, as will investigations into the Clinton Criminal Enterprise. Meanwhile, Trump and the business of running this country, must move on.
