FBI Director James Comey made it bluntly clear Wednesday that the agency’s criminal probe into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal has nothing to do with a “security inquiry, a term the former secretary of state has been using for months.
“I don’t even know what that means — a security inquiry,” he told Fox News at a pen and pad press briefing. “We’re conducting an investigation. … That’s what we do.”
Comey also said that there were “no special set of rules for anyone
who is under FBI investigation,” when it was suggested that had it been
someone other than Clinton, the person would have been incarcerated by
now.
