A historical appraoch to the possibility of the Senate flipping in favor of the Dems.

Most would agree that Hillary's candidacy is more on par with Obama's second run for president.  If so,  there is a distinct likelihood that the GOP will keep the Senate.

  1. With Obama's approval going up - now on the + side, and the GOP congress approval at 15% and falling... good luck with that. This will be the first time since Truman that the Dems will win a 3rd consecutive presidency. Dems have won the popular vote 5 of the last 6 presidential elections. There hasn't been a decisive GOP presidential win in 28 yrs. GWB won both terms in very close elections. Losing the popular vote in 2000, Bush's margin of victory in '04 was the smallest ever for a reelected incumbent president, all amidst voting irregularities in the state of OH in which 2 OH election officials were convicted.

Smithson will live the rest of his life under Democratic rule, and with a liberal SCOTUS.

    Reality.

    1. Its not a monarchy, dude. Your Progressive version of Communist leadership will be off-set by a more conservative Congress, just as it is now. Me? I am returning to my pre-Bush days, when I pretty much ignored DC and cheated the government (legally of course) as much as possible.

Your higher wage bracket means fewer jobs for your side and more employers out there who will pay for my political research services "under the table." I pay my gardener $175 a month "under the table" (pay taxes on the money I pay him. That is enough taxation on my dollar so "under the table" it is with my fully taxed dollar) and fish in in private ponds and streams . . . no permits required. And I have a "business" that can lose money 5 years out of 7 . . . . $12,000 mileage deduct seems fair to me and it is perfectly legal.

      Life is good, Comrade.
