How bad is this supposed "global warming?" One degree Celsius since 1760 and the beginning of the industrial revolution. That's one lousy degree in 250 years.
But the Left will continue to scream "The sky is falling, the sky is falling !!!!!"

To the average uninformed person, a global increase of 1 degree doesn't seem much like a big deal. But when you consider that such global temperature changes are much more exaggerated in the arctic, we see that one global degree increase IS very significant. The PETM mass extinction event resulted because of a warming of just 5º over a few THOUSAND yrs. A global rise of 1º in 250 yrs is faster than the temperature rise prior to the PETM extinction event.

Yes, there have been ice ages and climate changes in human history, but nothing like the warming event that occurred 55 million years ago that resulted in the melting of the arctic and mass impacts on species evolution.

What a load of crap. You guys have been preaching mass extinction for as long as I can remember. The Ozone layer was going to fry us all. The affect of acid rain was irreversible. World drought was going to kill us all back in the 70's. Then there was the threat of a global ice age. And if the increase in ice cap temps (both northern and southern) is 2 degrees, the increase has very little effect on ice free zones.
DeleteThe earth has had 5 major ice ages, major major, dating from 2.4 billion years ago to 12,000 years ago. Their cause is unknown in terms of specifics, but all the contributing factors are larger than whatever man has done, in view of the fact that all ice ages have occurred before man could have possibly influenced their existence . . . . . 5 major ages but dozens of more minor occurrences. What happens between these ice ages is what the fear mongers call "global warming."
As any reasonable person can see, warming/cooling, even on a scale harmful to human existence, is larger than human activity, unavoidable, and cyclical. Warming/cooling is an existentially systemic reality that testifies to the life of this earth Those who disagree, are ignorant of the historicity of Earth's cycles and short sighted when it comes to prevention.
