Job training for those who do not finish college (80% of the population) and jobs for all who are seriously searching.

What would you expect when the GOP votes themselves a raise 6 times during the same period they vote against raising the minimum wage 15 times? That's life in the Kock Bros America. Keep em dumb and poor... the GOP goal. Why else would they put such a high priority on cutting education funding?
ReplyDeleteThe GOP education spending proposal would slash funding for the U.S. Department of Education and its federal education programs by nearly $3 billion.
The bulk of those cuts come from eliminating a slate of nearly 20 programs, including many high-profile Obama administration priorities like the School Improvement Grants, Math and Science Partnerships, Investing in Innovation, and the Teacher Incentive Fund.
Overall, the Education Department would be funded to the tune of $2.8 billion below the fiscal year 2015 level and $6.4 billion below President Barack Obama's budget request.
Keep 'em dumb, don't raise the minimum wage. Confuse them with fear, conspiracy theories and moral imperatives and suppress the vote... that's the GOP game. Most people with half a brain know this, problem is... most GOP voters are rich or poor uneducated morons... and that's by design.
The average GOP and Conservative Patriot voter are the working blue collar middle class. Take them out of the equation, and your Progressive welfare programs have no money . . . . period.
DeleteKeep em dumb? Wow. What do you think a minimum wage that is considered a "living wage" does for the average poor boy? It robs him of any motivation to get an education or to get off welfare. I mean, the government determines his wage. It is not tied to his ability to earn that wage.
When running my contractor business, I could not and would not work a man who did not earn his wage. If in business, today, I would not pay minimum wage to anyone. Starting pay would be a dollar above minimum or $16 pr hour, but he hire would have to have experience. No more entry level crap if I have to pay $15 to some duffus. And most employers will be of the same mindset. That is why the population earning minimum wage has dropped from 15 million (1978) to 6 million, today.
Obama's budget request? You do know that Obama does not have the ability to write a viable budget proposal, having failed to do so on 5 separate occasions, and has no formal training in fiscal management? There is plenty of money for education.
"The bulk of those cuts" come from educational welfar programs. And why a teacher incentive program. That is what salaries and their high dollar benefits programs do . . . give the teachers "incentive." They deserve no more incentives than their negotiated salaries.
We do not need the Department of Education. It was not invented until Carter and 1979. Every state in the union has a Department of Education.
Understand that charter schools (non-unionized school) and home schooled kids do just as well and public schools proving that money has nothing to do with better educated kids.

And yet, the EU is on the verge of financial collapse. They work about 30 hours a week. My wife and I each paid for our degrees. My doctor son has paid for his own schooling; ditto my lawyer son and my two nursing daughters and my two school teachers. You paid for your degree, I assume, yet act as if you are ashamed of that degree.
DeleteNow, Obama received a free education and look at what the nation got for that expense, a man who can't pronounce "corps," can't write a federal budget, can't speak above an 8th grade level (second lowest speaking vocabulary in American presidential history), and can't get himself elected without lying his butt off.
It is a known fact that when you are financially responsible for something, you excel in that endeavor.
And free or not, how many foreigners come to our country to get or finish their education versus our people leaving the country for educational purposes?
