<<< Clearly, Obama thought we would all celebrate this deserter's release as he pretended that Bowe Bergdahl was a loyal American soldier taken as a prisoner of war, rather the criminal deserter that, in fact, he was/is. Not a hint of Bergdahl's desertion; not a hint of shame from his parents; not a single mention of the deaths of those who went after this deserter. Just a cold blooded effort at scoring political points from the same man who went to sleep 5 hours before the deaths of the two remaining survivors at the Benghazi embassy, sleeping while they were screaming for help, not knowing that their "commander" had already written them off. What a piece of work we have in this phony community organizer.

1. Speaking in Poland, Obama said rescuing Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl upheld a "sacred rule" that the United States does not "leave our men or women in uniform behind."
Fact: at the point in time when Bergdahl deserted, he was not longer a member of the military in good standing. A 30 minute investigation would have revealed that he left his uniform(s) behind, his military issued weapons and ammo, and had written about his intensions to desert.
2. Time was running out for Bergdahl in view of his declining health.
Fact: he was giving a clean bill of health within hours of being returned to the US military.
3. He served with honor and distinction
Fact: next thing you will be told by Susan Rice and her boss, is that he deserves a metal of some sort. This lie is so obviously wrong that it does not need specific refutation.
Editor's comment: In the end, Obama simply wanted to get 5 of the worst Taliban fighters in GITMO out of that prison. No country would take these Muslim savages, so he ran with the excuse that he had no choice but to trade them for this feckless and cowardly deserter . . . . along with close to a million dollars. He did not care about the lives lost in the effort to bring Bergdahl back (6 American soldiers died in the rescue effort but who in the Administration gives a damn about that ?). And, the excuses/lies listed above, remain the rhetoric for this Administration.
He did the same sort of thing with Hasan, the murdering Muslim doctor at Fort Hood, stonewalling for more than a year as to the release of Hasan's emails, which established his link with radical Islamic forces outside the United States.
If things go as they should, Bowe Bergdahl will serve the rest of his pathetic life in a military prison, no thanks to Barack Hussein Obama.
Based on the information Obama had at the time, his decision was as righteous as any. At least he did not escalate the war. Its like coming face to face with a huge bear. One thing for certain, you don't piss him off . Why does that not make sense to you, or is it that "shoot first and ask questions later" is your knee jerk, each solution to everything?
ReplyDeleteGW Bush created ISIS as soon as he took out Saddam. Saddam provided stability in Iraq. Reagan knew this and he dealt with Saddam, sending him chemical and bio weapons, even sending Rumsfeld to shake his hand . Unfortunately, Reagan created the bin Laden regime by arming him against the Soviets. What goes around comes around. There has never been any stability throughout history in this region for very long. Occupying forces are expensive and ineffective, and have already caused one recession - which Obama has led us out of. Stupidity never learns the lessons of history. Comparisons to WWII are invalid, as any idiot should know, these factions have been fighting each other for a millennium. Any peace is only temporary in a religious war. Religion is something there is no cure for.
ReplyDeleteBlaming Bush ignores the stupidity of Obama's decision to walk away from Iraq ; it ignores Biden's declaration that "Iraq just might be this administrations greatest accomplishment (Feb 2010)," and Obama's declaration, "'We're Leaving Behind a Sovereign, Stable, Self-Reliant Iraq'" (Dec of 2011). Obviously, whoever you try to blame for bin Laden and Iraq, Obama supposedly corrected all that using his words. Remember the words, "al Qaeda is dead and GM is alive," or "ISIS is the JV team" ?

Either Iraq was Obama's greatest accomplishment, we left behind a strong, stable and sovereign Iraq, al Qaeda was "dead" as in "decimated," and, ISIS was a nothing burger threat as in "J.V. team," or those words were all deliberate lies. If true, and how do Marxist Progressives argue otherwise, the result is this: OBAMA AND BIDEN AND HILLARY OWN THE CURRENT MESS, because they took care of all the problems created by Bush and Reagan.
Occupying forces are expensive but hardly "ineffective." Germany and Japan are no longer military threats because we finished the job; al Qaeda (ISIS is nothing but al Qaeda on steroids), would not exist today, as it does in Iraq, if we had not walked away, proof of the need for a residual force, which kind of destroys your argument.
The problem in Iraq is not "religion," but Islam as defined in "jihad." Jihad is not religion if you compare it to the statements and intent of Jesus Christ. But more than this, in terms of waging war, Arabs are rather stupid. That is not say they are stupid people, but, when it comes to wagin war, they are no more advanced than is their 7th century "religion."
But this is not the primary issue. Your claims about Reagan and Bush are the immediate issues, and I just destroyed you in your claims. If Obama destroyed al Qaeda, then there is no ISIS. If Iraq was strong, stable and sovereign in 2011 and Obama killed bin Laden, then the Bush/Reagan/bin Laden problems, were all corrected, which mean, the mess that is the Middle East is ALL ON the Muslim sympathizer we have in our White House.
