We discuss Communism in Greece, and what works against Communism, in a world always searching for answers.

The future has begun, says leftist Alexis Tsipras as he scents power in Greece

Syriza is leading in polls after gaining support among millions of Greeks who are unemployed or facing poverty  (headline taken from the UK's Guardian).
Editor's notes:  Understand that Marxist socialism is a classic failure all over the world.  Russia is a Marxist regime as is Cuba and Venezuela.  All three are failed economies.  China is a communist nation using capitalist processes,  not Marxist in its governance.   And,  seems to be doing well,  in terms of economics.
Marxism, as a philosophy,  seeks to come into power following a domestic crisis.  Such was the plan as stated by Karl Marx.   And "crisis" is what you have in Greece.  Make note that Greece's fiscal failures have more to do with an unreal union legacy program,  than anything else.  After decades of union excesses,  the time has come when union demands have "broken the bank" in Greece, and,  the communist-union political partners,  are about to reap the benefits of this self-induced crisis.
Understand that Communism is not a preferred form of government by people who have known or want personal freedoms.  In the end,  whether people vote in favor of Communism or not,  military force is used to maintain its governmental power.
If the Syriza Party  (commies) win the day,  in Greece,  it will be by the smallest of margins.  As long as their margin of victory remains small,  fair elections are allowed,  and the military does not become an enforcer element,  there is hope for Greece.  So,  this report (the headline, above) is not the end of the world for that country,  but the danger of Greece getting sucked into the small malaise as Cuba or Russia remains a concern.
Finally,  understand that there is nothing worse for a communist regime,  than prosperity.  Give people money,  security and a path to greater wealth,  and you have the end of a strict communist society.  People, after all,  will want to spend THEIR money.
Individual prosperity spells the end of repressive, national communism.  China is a perfect example of this point.  China has allowed for the wealth-creation,  capitalist processes foster.  While China remains a repressive regime,  still,  there are more than a 100 million Christians in that country versus 84 million registered communists  !!!
