It is time for the GOP and its conservative wing, to partner with one of the largest traditionally religious populations in the nation.

<<<<  Who says they are "automatic" Dems?  Their religious and family values best align with conservatives and their work ethic really takes them away from the entitlement community.  I say,  "Let's bring them in"  and send a shock wave through the godless and liberal community.

The House leadership released their "principles" for immigrants.  It allows them to stay in the US,  legally,  but without citizenship or the specific benefits of citizenship.  I have decided that this is a reasonable compromise.  Will the Dems try to abuse this law?  Of course,  but I doubt this will ever get to a vote.  Why?  Because the first principle is one that demands the border first be secured.

We must all agree on this: THEY ARE ALREADY HERE AND HAVE BEEN HERE FOR DECADES.  They are our neighbors,  friends,  and their children,  are fellow citizens of this country.

At some point,  we all have to try to do something about this ridiculous problem.  Nothing is written in stone,  and the "solution" we all come up with,  can be changed.  If we are afraid the Dems will grab their votes, well,  why?  If the GOP sets installs self help business programs,  job training,  and includes this population in our politic,  why will they not vote with us,  as we stand with them on traditional values.  The Hispanic population is largely Catholic.  Their religiosity is real,  and in no wise compatible with the godless Marxist Left that is currently ruining this country.

I say,  "Let's bring them in out of the shadows,  and onto a path to citizenship."

  1. Godless liberal community? You mean the people that believe in education and science rather than ancient fables pseudoscience and superstition? Which group do you think most effectively contributes to the greatness of America? People who believe literally in manuscripts written and copied countless times during the Dark Ages? Isn't it time to stop trying to divide and control people through religious cults and institutions? Why do you supposed the great intellectuals like Einstein and Jefferson were Pantheist and Deist?

  2. You ask, "Godless liberal community? You mean the people that believe in education and science rather than ancient fables pseudoscience and superstition?" And my answer is, "Yes. Exactly those people." Their (your) science placed Katrina at the beginning of a decade of wild, category 3 to 5 storms, when the total count of such Gulf storms is zero, 9 years later. Your science denies what we saw on 9/11 and pretends that George Bush brought down the Twin Towners. Your science and education believes that a man can literal say, "I am now a woman," and presto-chango, he is a woman. Your science gave us such doomsday scenario's as acid rain, the ban on DDT that has killed 20 million children in Africa, the Little Ice Age, 20 foot flood waters in New York City by 2015 (still think that is going to happen??), 100 years of lost food supply in the Gulf because of the oil leaks in 2010 - a prediction that was totally wrong and proven so within 24 months of that disaster, the Ozone Depletion scare - we were all going to fry within a decade - a prediction that is now laughable, and a liberal/Marxist/godless controlled educational system that is the laughing stock of the world. My faith gives people choices; your "faith" is the one which seeks to control and modify behavior.

  3. Faith is used by those who do not have evidence to support their beliefs, or the ability to understand the evidence. Faith is easy, it requires no proof or supporting evidence. It's what the ignorant rely on when they can not understand the world around them.

"Faith is believing something you know ain't true." - Mark Twain

"The way to see by faith is to shut the eye of reason." - Benjamin Franklin

"In no instance have the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people." - James Madison

"Religions are all alike - founded upon fables and mythologies." - Thomas Jefferson

"Of all religions the Christian is without doubt the one which should inspire tolerance most, although up to now the Christians have been the most intolerant of all men." - Voltaire

  4. Notice the 'strawman' argument Smithson builds by attributing all manner of bogus predictions and conspiracy theories on "your science" ... that is about as anti- intellectual as one can get, not to mention pig-ignorant and laughably flawed reasoning.
