Just to be clear: Obama will NOT seek the approval of congress for going to war, turning the decision to go to war over to the international community.

Just to be clear:  Obama will NOT seek the approval of congress for going to war in Syria or anywhere else, turning the decision to go to war over to the international community. There was a time when he pretended to respect the sovereignty of this Great Nation but that was only until he got himself elected.

Of course,  the GOP leadership will huff and buff,  but,  in the end,  will do exactly nothing to curtail this man's power grab. As inept as is the current Administration,  the GOP leadership is equally feckless in its planning and drive to set America on the Right track.

Here is what Obama once pretended to believe:
Q. In what circumstances, if any, would the president have constitutional authority to bomb Iran without seeking a use-of-force authorization from Congress? (Specifically, what about the strategic bombing of suspected nuclear sites — a situation that does not involve stopping an IMMINENT threat?)

OBAMA:  The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.
