Midknight Review -- new and revised: After three weeks of serious reporting, the MSM has decided that "enough is enough" and is working to rehabilitate B Obama.

The lede the morning show at NBC included this blurb: "[Obama and his visit to Oklahoma is] really to see the improvements to this area, and also to refocus the conversation away from some recent headlines. Focusing on what he wants to focus on: government at its best, bipartisanship, and efforts to improve the economy."

Over at CBS This Morning, ex-Fox correspondent, Major Garrett, made an announcement using much the same verbiage: "President Obama is eager to look at federally-financed repairs on the Jersey shore – to his mind, a welcome contrast to IRS bungling and Justice Department snooping....Today's trip could also inject some life into Mr. Obama's scandal-starved push for Beltway bipartisanship,” proving, of course, the incestral and orchestrated relationship the major networks have with each other.

Clearly, the MSM is climbing back into Obama’s camp and doing what it can to move the national conversation away from the real news of the day and Obama’s scandal driven agenda.

Do "they" have enough fingers to plug the holes in the dike? Time will tell, but, currently, Obama's efforts to change the discussion, has not taken hold. I mean, who really cares what he thinks about GITMO. He has been blowing off on that subject for years. And his announcement that the war on terror is over, is not even news. He has been touting this preposterous notion for years, as well.

He does have a problem in this regard, however. Claiming that the "war on terror is over," Obama maintains that our civilian courts have tried and convicted dozens of terrorist, Such is beside the point. Our courts have NOT tried and convicted any terrorists captured on foreign soil. His claim that there has been no jihad related attacks on American soil is, also, problematic. In making that claim, he ignores the 13 killed by Major Hasan at Fort Hood; the failed effort of the "shoe bomber" as he attempted to kill 250 Americans on a flight within the U.S., the Boston bombing, the failed New York truck bomb incident and the Benghazi massacre (understand that our embassies are on US property). I am leaving off the murder of a single officer, here in the homeland, by a Muslim extremist. I apologize for not have that information readily at hand.

The Stated Nonsense from the Left now includes these Progressive goals:

July 2, 2008, Obama had this to say: "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

MICHELLE OBAMA: "Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we're going to have to change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a different place as a nation."
