Turns out Romeo is a perv and he teaches just two hours from my home . . . or he did.

In a local story (here in the Central Valley of California),  we have this ongoing story that has made national news  . . . . .   and "yes,"  the guy really is a perv/jerk.  

The former teacher who left his job and family and kids  to move in with an 18-year-old student (see picture left) has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a different student more than a decade ago  when he, the teacher,  was 27.  

Christopher James Hooker was arrested for oral copulation with a minor he taught in 1997-98, long before he struck up a relationship with another of his students,  Jordan Powers, pictured above.   From what we can tell,  this student of 14 years ago was a young lady, as well.

The sad thing,  in all this,  is the fact that young Jordan is "in love" with this creep.  Not too long ago (we couldn't find the date),  she lost her father.   

Police say the current charges stem from a 1998 relationship Hooker had with a 17-year-old student from Davis High School in Modesto.  Hooker was arrested at his home on Friday and booked into Stanislaus County Jail.

He appeared in court where a judge set his bail at $50,000 and assigned him a public defender, according to the Modesto Bee.

It is not known if he is a member of the Socialist Democrat Party.  :--)
