Public Policy Polling (PPP) has Obama up by 13 over Romney in Colorado.

Colorado is certainly one of 13 "battleground" states in the coming election.  Obama won this state by 9 points, in 2008.

Since and including 1972,  there have been 10 presidential elections. Colorado, as a state,  has voted "Republican" on eight of those occasions,  once for Clinton in 1992 and,  again,  for Obama in 2008.  According to the PPP leadership,  they see Colorado as strongly in the camp for Obama's re-election.  Time will tell, of course.

In the mid-term Senatorial election,  Colorado voted "Democrat" by 0.9 of a percent.  To argue that the Colorado is "solidly Democrat"  may not be the case.
