Want to know what an angry. old, Right Winger has to say to the local cBS affiliate?

The debate tonight, at least the first hour, was among the best

My complaint has to do with the fact that your station
thought there was something better to do with the next hour,
rather than show the continuing debate, as, apparently,
stations elsewhere, did, this evening.

In terms of pushing forward for an informed electorate, apparently
you all think it is best that we - the ignorant masses - learn of the
debate, after the fact, from the likes of the Biased, people such
as Scott Pelley, for example. We don't need your analysis. We
need to hear the message directly from those who are presenting
the message. The media, over the course of the past four years,
has forfeited its position as "vetters" of our political treasure. The other,
day, in fact, I read an article defending the notion that the time of objectivity
in news reporting, had passed. Incredible, but that is the roll the new
and radicalized media has chosen to play. You all can drop dead on that
one.

I know that the people who run CBS are biased from the Left. Fine, but
I do not care to hear from you on that bias.

Anyway, instead of promoting an educated electorate, you all - right
here in Fresno -- decided to make money and run your regular programming,
a truly thoughtless decision.

Hello Mr. Smithson,
I appreciate you taking the time to express your viewpoint. We took the debate feed that was offered by the CBS network. The network did not offer extended debate coverage. I will forward your note of dissatisfaction to our affiliate relations.

Thank you,

Linda Danna

VP & General Manager
CBS47 Fresno

And my final response:

Thank you but . . . .

It was announced, at the conclusion of the first hour,
that folks on the east coast would continue to hear the debate.

You should fight for the right to continue such events. No
pass for you, or, whoever makes decisions that allow you
to operate as if news were not your most important function.

The fact that we, the people, do not know what is going on, is
the very thing that allows deceivers to function in high places.
If you, in the news, do not do your job, to whom do we turn?

Is there no place in your mind for the Right? Apparently not. How
many hundreds of hours of Obama this and Obama that, have you
aired over the course of the past three years. Seriously. And you
couldn't come up with two stinking hours, tonight !!? Those of
us on the Right want equal time. You have absolutely no concern
for that desire.

In case you are not looking, hard news, presented from a
multiplicity of views, sells. But cBS along with the others, is
all about educating the public rather than giving the public
the opportunity to decide for itself.

Until you, Linda Danna, decide to act differently from the
Chris Mattews of the world, you are no better than them, and
undeserving of the designation, "news agent." I am told that common
to young journalists is the fantasy that they are going to change the
world. Somewhere along the way (and somewhere soon) , these
people come to believe that folks from "the other side" need
to[be] intellectually neutered. Since that is not actually possible, the next
best thing is to box them off from the so-called mainstream and treat them
as if they were neutered. Make fun of us, ignore our interests, lie about
what we believe and think, but, most of all, ignore us. That is what happened
tonight.

I make no apology for being angry with the notion that I, at age 66, have
been treated by the media as if I need your freaking help.

Pass my complaint on to the Lefties in whereever. That will solve
nothing. And, sadly, you know it. Thanks for nothing with regards to
my complaint.
