What makes this even worse, is the fact that Ray Gricar, a district attorney out of Centre County, Pa., knew of these charges 13 years ago but did not file on Jerry Sandusky. That's not the bad part.
Those who knew Gricar believe that Gricar was waiting until he had a stronger case. We will never know because Gricar disappeared in 2005 and was declared "dead" this year. Turns out that his laptop computer and hard drive were found "in the river."
The fall out over of this case is huge. Sandusky's activities were rumored (an more so) for years, with little follow up and no one going to law enforcement. Joe Paterno, head football coach, was told of an incident between Sandusky and a young boy, in the showers at Penn State, caught by a Penn State student who went to Paterno with what he saw. That was 2002 !!
Paterno was forced out as head coach of the Nittany Lions football program, yesterday, leaving that position after more than 40 years, disgraced for knowing and doing nothing. The cover-up has cost the jobs of two college administrators and may result in the firing of Penn State's president.
Paterno will not coach the game this weekend. I believe Penn is nationally rank, but it seems somewhat inappropriate to mention this, in view of the moral disaster that is this scandal.
Both Jerry Sandusky and Joe Paterno are REGISTERED REPUBLICANS.
ReplyDeleteChristian conservatives...
of course!
William, what is your point? That Republicans support rape and incest and sexual cover-up when children are involved.
ReplyDeleteAnd how do you know their political affiliations, anyway? Write me back and confirm that you think the Penn State idiocy is about politics. Do that for me, bicycle boy.
