Penn State . . . . I say, cancel the stinking season. If the kids are going to riot and the coaches are being threatened - just forget it.

When I first reported on this story, I did not think things could get worse, but they have. Sandusky is the assistant coach who is the criminal sex offender in this story . . . . been molesting young boys since the mid to late 90's, right up until a few days ago.

The latest is this: there is a strong "rumor" that he was pimping some of these young boys to a few of the school's rich donors. If so, this could wind up being the biggest sex scandal in American history. Already, we know that 8 boys were assaulted and, as the stats go in such matters, when a long time predator is caught, the total victim count can run as high as 10 to 1 off the known victims.

We now know that there was an offer made to Sandusky that if he resigned, the matter would be kept quite! That will need to be investigated, as well.

One of the current assistant coaches has received death threats for spilling the beans on the scandal and will not attend the game, this weekend, because of those threats.

Get this: dozens of young boys are victims; donors of the football team may be involved; some of the coaches and administrators participated in a cover-up, pimping for cash may be the case . . . .

and . . . . . . . . . . hundreds of dumb Penn State students, and I do mean stupid dumb, are demonstrating and tearing things up - not because of the young victims; not because of the sale of sexual favors; not because of the gross immorality of it all, but because Joe Paterno was forced out as head coach. Incredible. Understand that it is the youth, attending the Occupy demonstrations, that are causing all the trouble at those events, as well. Morons, all.

I say, cancel football at Penn State . . . . . . . . . . . permanently, and ferret out all who were involved in this thing. Paterno has known of the problem since 2002. I doubt that he thought it was as big as it is . . . . of course he didn't. Asking him to step down, however, seems to be an appropriate punishment, a small price to pay, but, then, he really is not at the center of this storm. Understand that Paterno reportedly told college administrators and moved on. No one is saying that his actions were satisfactory, but, again, before this is over, there might be a dozen men involved in the sexual assault of scores of young boys and none of them are named Joe Paterno.

I can no longer write, "things can't get worse." In fact, any news in addition to the above, will deepen this tragedy.

Update: and, once again, this thing gets worse. Turns out that Mike McQueary, the man who "spilled the beans" on Sandusky years ago, continued to run around with this sexual predator after telling Paterno about seeing Sandusky in the showers with a young boy -- even playing golf with the perv. Understand that he and Sandusky continued to coach together and pal around for 9 years, without another word from McQueary. Apparently, no one "in the know" is anywhere close to being "above reproach." Just terrible.

Update: the investigation is expanding to include cities where Penn State played "away" games. The assistant coach, Sandusky, was with the team during the 15 years in question. How many boys? How many cities? How many donors? And, did I ask, "how many boys?"
