If you are a Gingrich fan, here is some great news:

Just three weeks ago, an Obama/Gingrich ballot found Obama winning 51 to 24. Today - again, three weeks later - that suggested contest gives Obama a 6 point victory, 44 to 38. (source: Rasmussen). This 14 point gain, favoring Gingrich, is largely due to shifting opinions within the Independents community.

If Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Herman Cain decide to leave off their individual efforts for the nomination, it is possible, if not likely, that the abandoned supporters would turn to the most knowledgeable GOP contestant in the race, Newt Gingrich. Discouraged Perry supporters are already viewing Gingrich with renewed interest.

We all would love to see a Gingrich/Obama debate or three. While some argue that Newt is "Establishment," certainly his legislative agenda is one that TEA Party folks can and should support. It was not Clinton who balanced the Federal budget, during his second terms in office, it was the Republican House of Representatives lead by the Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich. More than this, he is socially conservative, for those who care about such things, and has been fully supportive of the Taxed Enough Already movement, since its inception in 2009.

There is absolutely no doubt that he would run a campaign far more aggressively than Romney and can be trusted to do what what must be done, from a conservative point of view.

He has his scandal, as well, but that has been out there for years. It is old news. He knows how to handle the media, and understands the political process as well as anyone in the race. His grasp of foreign affairs makes Obama look like the man-child he is.

We are looking at a very interesting change of status, for the Speaker. I think it is great news.
