Osama lived in squalor. His home was no more than 2,000 s.f. and nothing like the "mansion" the Media wanted us to believe.

You are looking at the three story hideout of bin Laden. Allowing for the windows to be 4 feet wide, I estimate this structure is no more than 20 x 30 in each of the first two floors and less than that in the top floor -- less than 2,000 s.f. total in this house.

Anyone notice the disconnect between what we have been told by the Marxist Media about Osama bin Laden, and the reality that was he real life? Next time you get a chance, make note of the heaps of trash that seem to have filled every corner of his "million dollar mansion" in Pakistan. Turns out that the "million dollar mansion" cost far less than a million dollars; I am guessing no more than $80,000 to build despite the Marxist Media's revised estimate of $200.000 to one million dollars.

I developed my estimate based upon research into construction costs within the country of Pakistan. In a review of a PDF report written by two civil engineers. it appears that low cost housing in Pakistan runs around $10 per square foot with commercial building costs at or under $25 per s.f. If we allow for a 3,000 s.f. home built for bin Laden, the cost would be $75.000. In America, by contrast, a real "multi-million dollar mansion" costs between $150 and $200 or more per s.f. to build and ranges in size upwards of 8,000 to 15,000 s.f. -- never 3,000 s.f. and certainly not 2,000 s.f.

In a review of the interior photos of the building, I note that the walls appear to be concrete, unfinished, with "throw rugs" on the floor and almost no interior furnishings. The floors were covered with squalor giving us the picture of a man who had few personal standards. He was wealthy, inheriting more than 78 million at the time of his father's death, in 1972, but did not use this money to foster an engorged lifestyle, as is often the case with the American wealthy. Can you imagine what the interior of his caves looked like, during his younger radical days ?

Osama was a piece of trash, living in trash, and dedicated to the murder of innocents across the world, whether "pagan" or Muslim. In fact, Osama and al Qaeda are credited with murdering more Muslims than any other entity in this world. He was not well received in most Muslim nations.

Since killing thousands on 9/11, we have killed some 60,000 al Qaeda fighters in the Iraqi / Afghanistan wars, most of the original "top brass" in the al Qaeda force, and, now, the mastermind and founder of al Qaeda (in 1988) . While al Qaeda remains capable of doing harm to America and the rest of the free world, its back was broken in Iraq and the head of the snake was obliterated as of May 1, 2011.

Point of post: to debunk the myth surrounding Osama and the notion that he was an intellectual man of means, living a life of rich appointment while masterminding the greatest threat to America in modern times. Nothing in that last statement is or was true. Osama was no intellectual. He lived as if he were a Bedouin tribal member and had became fairly irrelevant in his final years. He signed his own death warrant on 9/11 and ran like the coward he was during the 10 ensuing years. He was a child molester, taking as one of his "wives," a 15 year old girl. After 9/11, al Qaeda went to Iraq under Osama's orders, sucked into that war by the challenges issued to them by George W Bush. It is almost humorous that they took on the challenge to fight America on foreign soil, but that is exactly what they did -- and got their butts kicked in royal fashion. Al Qaeda is an army of idiots and the last two attacks on our soil have proven this to be true. Because they are fools, they are to be feared. But, their goal of destroying the United States of America was and is an impossible dream. We will never know how many bin Ladens and KSM types were killed in Iraq, but we do know that because of the success of that war, the United States is a safe place to live, even if Obama has no clue how to fight terrorism . . . . the Osama killing not withstanding.
