Obama lost the popularity wars for second year in a row.

Rasmussen Reports, our "polling company of choice," shows Obama's 7 day average at 47.2 % approval and trending [mildly] upwards from a 42.718 in the weeks before the midterms.

Gallup's year end approval poll has Obama at 47% , CNN at 48%, FoxNews at 40% [the lowest average of the major polls], NBC/WSJ at 45%, the very liberal ABC/Wash Post poll at 49%, Marist at 42%, Bloomberg at 48% , Reuters at 45% and PEW at 45%.

Note: all major polls have Obama's approval numbers under 50%. There is a slight movement upwards, but the same type of movement has occurred in two previous cycles. Until the averages reach and remain at 52%, we believe Obama remains vulnerable as we approach the 2012 elections.
