So, Midknight Review was thinking: all it would talk to shut down any big city would be the strategic placement of several dozen "suspicious looking packages," and, wala, a whole city could be brought to a stand-still for perhaps two hours or more, costing millions of dollars -- no explosives needed and no serious crime committed if the "terrorists" were caught. What would be the charge? Impersonating a crime? Well, OK, but what would be the penalty? Life? You're kidding. 30 years without parole ? Huh ??!! Trial by military court ? Not really.

Tell me it wouldn't work. With the Times Square box bombing threat, today -- is this what we are beginning to see? ---- jds
