Mitch versus Cruz and many who do not support Cruz for president, are taking his side in this war over broken promises. We are tired of being lied to

Editor's notes:  There is something about TedCruz that is  "plastic banana."  I have no good reason for that opinion  (more a feeling than an objective thought).  At the same time,  I admit that he is a solid and sincere conservative.  His "attack" on Mitch McConnell is dead on.  Here is the heart and soul of an article from Breitbart in which Cruz's criticism of McConnell is given the attention it deserves.

(You will want to read the full article at Breitbart.com.)   Cruz  . . .   hammered GOP leadership for putting forward nothing more than a show vote—a meaningless vote—on repealing Obamacare.
“We’ll have a vote on repealing Obamacare,” Cruz said.
The Republicans will all vote “Yes.” The Democrats will all vote “no.” It will be at a 60-vote threshold. It will fail. It will be an exercise in meaningless political theater. Mind you when we actually had a fight to stop Obamacare and defund it, the Majority Leader was opposed. But an empty showboat, that is a good way to distract from what’s going on. There is a profound disappointment among the American people because we keep winning elections and then we keep getting leaders who don’t do anything they promised. The American people were told if only we have a Republican Majority, things will be different. Well, in 2010, the American people showed up in enormous numbers and we got a Republican majority in the House. And very little changed. Then the American people were told, you know, the problem is the Senate. If only we get a Republican majority in the Senate and retire Harry Reid as Majority Leader, then things will be different. Well, in 2014, the American people rose up in enormous numbers, voted to do exactly that. We’ve had a Republican majority in both Houses of Congress now for about six months. What was that majority done?
Cruz then proceeded to detail how the 2010 and 2014 elections handing the GOP majorities in the House then Senate didn’t matter one bit at all.
“First thing we did, in December, is we came back and passed a $1 trillion Cromnibus plan filled with pork and corporate welfare,” Cruz said.
That was the very first thing we did. Then this Republican majority voted to fund Obamacare, voted to fund President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty. And then leadership rammed through the confirmation of Loretta Lynch as Attorney General. Madam President, which of those decisions would be one iota different if Harry Reid were still Majority Leader? Not a one. Not a one. This Senate operates exactly the same. The same priorities. And let me tell you why. It’s not that this majority doesn’t get things done. It does get things done. But it listens to one and only one voice. That is the voice of the Washington cartel, of the lobbyists on K Street, of the big money and big corporations. You know, if you go to the American people and ask is reauthorizing the Ex-Im Bank a priority for you, the standard response for most of them would be ‘the what?’ They don’t even know what this is. Let me tell you what this is. It is an egregious example of corporate welfare. It is the American taxpayers being on the dime for hundreds of billions of dollars in loan guarantees given out to a handful of giant corporations. It is a classic example of cronyism and corporate welfare. And by the way, among others you know one person who had the clarity of thought on that?
Cruz then noted how when Obama was in the Senate, he was opposed to the Ex-Im Bank—and then proceeded to further detail how the Ex-Im Bank is crony capitalism—before he turned his fire on McConnell again.
“Madam President, it saddens me to say this,” Cruz said.
I sat in my office, I told my staff the Majority Leader looked me in the eye and looked 54 Republicans in the eye. I cannot believe he would tell a flat-out lie, and I voted based on those assurances that he made to each and every one of us. What we just saw today was an absolute demonstration that not only what he told every Republican Senator, but what he told the press over and over and over again was a simple lie. This institution should not operate at the beck and call of lobbyists in Washington. This institution, the Majority and Minority Leader arm in arm again, should not team up against the American taxpayers. It’s why our children are going bankrupt. Now we’re facing an enormous threat with this Iran deal, a nuclear Iran poses the greatest national security threat tot his country.”
Cruz laid out next how McConnell wouldn’t take the steps he took to force the crony capitalist Ex-Im Bank through the Senate to protect the nation of Israel from President Obama’s deal with Iran.
And yet the Majority Leader refused to do what he just did for the Export Import Bank on Iran, refused to invoke cloture,” Cruz said. “That was an extraordinary step. Madam President, if he was telling us the truth when he said there was no deal, why would he do what he just did? Well, we now know that when the Majority Leader looks us in the eyes and makes an explicit commitment that he is willing to say things that he knows are false. That has consequences for how this body operates. If you or I cannot trust what the Majority Leader tells us, that will have consequences on other legislation as well on how this institution operates.

When the Daily Kos is reporting bad news for Hillary, you know there is something seriously wrong.

 David Nir / Daily Kos:
New York Times dramatically rewrites a new Hillary Clinton email story after midnight

More than 700 people have been executed, in Iran, by hanging from Jan through June of 2015. Many are artists, dancers and other evil "subversives." And no one in Washington gives a damn.

More than 700 people have been executed,  in Iran,  by hanging from Jan through June of 2015.  Many are artists, dancers and other evil "subversives."  And no one in Washington gives a damn.

Understand that if we measure "giving a damn"  against what we actually accomplish,  the judgment embedded in the above headed stands as absolute truth.

We  --  The People  --  need to stop equating "talk" with "accomplishment."  More than this,  we all need to use accomplishments,  those results that are without question or debate,  as that which defines "caring and diplomatic concern."  Until and unless that happens,  we  --  The People --  will continue to support those who accomplish nothing that aligns with our desires.

90% of what has been accomplished by the current Rogue Administration does not meet with the approval of The People.  So,  when will The People respond and vote for real change and accomplishment that goes far far beyond "hope?"

Coke, Ford and Xerox tell Planned Parenthood they want off PP's donor list. We ARE winning the "pr" war . . . . . . finally.

The news organization Daily Signal contacted several companies on the list asking about their purported donations to Planned Parenthood in light of videos revealing the organization’s harvesting of fetal organs. Representatives from Xerox, Ford, and Coca-Cola deserted the abortion giant, saying they were “incorrectly listed as donors… They said their companies do not contribute to Planned Parenthood and do not match employee gifts to the organization. All three said they have contacted or will contact Planned Parenthood to be removed from its website.”

Obama has not delivered a patriotic speech since lying his way into our White House. But here is one delivered today on the streets of New York at a huge rally against the Iranian deal and for the United States of America. (7 min video)

The untrained just forced a deal for $15 per how. Anyone actually think that this will not cost jobs? Good Grief.

NY Times:   The labor protest movement that fast-food workers in New York City set off nearly four years ago has led to higher wages for workers all over the country. On Wednesday, it finally paid off for the people who started it.

A panel appointed by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo recommended on Wedesday that the minimum wage be raised for employees of fast-food chain restaurants throughout the state to $15 an hour. Wages would first be raised in New York City and then the rest of the state.

The decision is a major victory for the campaign to improve the lives of workers who often struggle to pay for basic needs on low salaries. “This is one of the really great days of my administration,” Mr. Cuomo wrote in a Tweet shortly after the decision.

Editor's notes:  Minimum wage in NY is $8.75.  How many jobs will be lost when the food industry is forced to double its wages?  And do not think for a minute that high minimum wages do not cost jobs.  In 1978,  15.4 million folks were on minimum wage ($2.72 per hour).  Today,  that number has fallen to 6 million folks working for $6.25 per hour.

When I was a contractor (now retired),  entry level pay was $12 per hour when the state's minimum was around $5.70.  Today,  if in business,  my minimum would be around $17 per hour.  If a 15 dollar wage was ordered by the State,  for entry level workers,  I would quit hiring entry level people   . . . .   could not afford training for a year or more at $15 per hour.

54,000 minimum wage workers live in New York's five boroughs  . . . .  91,000 state wide.  This blog will try to follow this story for the next 12 months.

This blog will no long cover anything Donald Trump except his downward fall from grace. Glenn Beck has decided to do the same. Others should follow suit, as well.

The Glenn Beck Program has announced that they will no longer host any discussion of Donald Trump, period.

The online radio show, which is being guest hosted by Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere during Beck’s medical leave, opened with the announcer reading, “It’s The Glenn Beck Program with Pat and Stu, now 100% Trump free, with 100% Less Trump.”

“…As you just heard 100% Trump free, now 100% less Donald Trump talk,” Gray said to open the show.

Trump threatens a third party run, making his allegiance to himself (and maybe Hillary) more than obvious. I told you so.

NEW YORK — Donald Trump says the chances that he will launch a third-party White House run will “absolutely” increase if the Republican National Committee is unfair to him during the 2016 primary season.

“The RNC has not been supportive. They were always supportive when I was a contributor. I was their fair-haired boy,” the business mogul told The Hill in a 40-minute interview from his Manhattan office at Trump Tower on Wednesday. “The RNC has been, I think, very foolish.”

Editor's notes:  Clearly.  this pig of a man thinks the GOP owes him the nomination and is going to destroy the party if he does not get his way.

Understand that a third party candidate cannot win a presidential election,  in these days and times.  Impossible.  That being true,  the only reason this pig would run,  would be for the sake of revenge.

Understand that he is a self-serving,  godless man with no principles except that of self-service and arrogance.  It is really important that the GOP choose a candidate with "cross-over" appeal.

You know the Left, with their perpetual Environmental Fear Campaign, is losing the climate wars, when they start blaming house fires on global warming. Good grief.

MSNBC is thinking Biden has a better trust factor than Hillary, despite the fact that he has been THE yes man for Obama and Hillary for 7 years!!

Say what you will about the GOP's
Trump problem;  the Dems have an equally difficult problem with Hillary,  her trust factor and the manipulative heights to which she has gone in running her campaign.  You do know that that he has announced two or three times and never got that traditional "bump."  Bad news and many strategists know it.
