My school teacher daughter, in Tulare, California, told me today that her teachers' union is dumping healthcare onto the Federal government. It suddenly dawned on me that healthcare is not so much about healthcare as it is about taking the legacy health programs of all the national and private unions out of debt by assuming the costs of their healthcare insurance needs.

We knew, going in, that Obama was a Union Freak but it did not occur to us that he was this crooked . . . . a Chicago Thug stealing the funds of hard working Americans and using those funds to benefit Unions over and against private and non-union enterprise -- jds.

For a head of state to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until this week, unheard of.

Yet that is how Binyamin Netanyahu was treated by President Obama on Tuesday night, according to Israeli reports on a trip seen in Jerusalem tonight as a disastrous humiliation.

Bloomberg afraid of Obama's bank tax plan

Mayor Bloomberg said yesterday that President Obama's plan to slap a tax on banks is aimed squarely at the city's lifeblood and could turn Manhattan into a crumbling wreck like Detroit.

Bloomberg warned that the plan could bring about the collapse of the city's financial sector and starve New York of revenue it needs to provide basic services.

"And if you want to see what happens to a city when their major industry fails, just take a look at Detroit," which has been reeling from the collapse of the auto industry.

"I'm very concerned that we don't drive business overseas. London became a financial center when we increased regulation here," he said, adding, "I certainly hope our legislators in Washington will fight to protect our industry here."

But the early indications weren't clear.

Sen. Charles Schumer, an Obama supporter who typically champions Wall Street, is for the bank-tax proposal.

"While we await the details of the president's proposal, the original rescue legislation clearly required that financial institutions that benefited from [the bailout] would contribute additional funds until taxpayers were fully repaid. The point of that provision was to put taxpayers first, and I agree with that," Schumer (D-NY) said.

Kirsten Gillibrand, Schumer's New York Democratic colleague, said, "While the administration's approach is far better than some proposals, such as taxing financial transactions, our focus should be on making sure that bank ----------------------------------end of news story.

Editor's notes: Now, here is the update as of today. Mayor Bloomberg is saying that the taxes in this bill may very well bring the city to its knees. The 6.4 trillion (lots of very rich folk and corporate heads live in this city) is more than what is spent on housing, corporate rent, or residential food.

Unintended cosequences - Obama vs manufacturing

John Deere Manufacturer in Iowa has just released its accounting report as to projected costs. What remains of this year will see costs for John Deere rise to 130 million dollars due to increased ObamaForcedCare.

Last week, Obama received the bad news from Catepillar and it sounded eerily similar to John Deere's news release -- Caterpillar will lose 100 million dollars due to health care costs for 2010

But this is not the big story. These increased costs, and they will progressively rise with the passing of each and every year, will result in a dramatic increases in cost to manufactured goods, making our country less competitive in the world's econmy.

What most do not understand is the critical need for increased imports and at the heart of this needed increase is Amercian manufacture. If it is several damaged in all this - there is no hope for bring country back to its role of leadership in the wide wide world of economic and industrial exceptionalism.

The bad news from the two manufacturers may be the low tide of an economic tsunami about to sweep this country as a result of Obama's stupidity. Loss of jobs, continuing and increasing trade imbalance, and loss of revenues due to heavy payroll taxation - these are part of the legacy for Obama.

Update: Medical device maker Medtronic warned that new taxes on its products could force it to lay off a thousand workers. Now Verizon joins the roll of businesses staring at adverse consequences.

News flash -- its all of them. Businesses across the board, will be laying off personel and workers. Smaller businesses will simply close their doors. This thing is going to be a monumental failure. Midknight Review believes the legacy for this President is one that will include laughter and the shaking of the head. Jimmy Carter was an Incompetent but he couldn't get anything done. Silence that speaks volumes: blackout as Israel’s leader leaves White House

Two separate meetings between President Obama and Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, failed to produce so much as an official photograph as a chill settled over US-Israeli relations and secrecy shrouded any efforts to repair them.

The Israeli Prime Minister was due to fly home from Washington after three days marked by Israeli defiance on the issue of settlements and an extraordinary silence maintained by both sides after his three-and-a-half-hour visit to the White House.

The meeting was overshadowed by Israeli approval for 20 homes built for Jews in Arab east Jerusalem — a move denounced by one senior US official as “exactly what we expect Prime Minister Netanyahu to get control of”.

White House staff denied Mr Netanyahu the usual photo opportunities afforded to a visiting leader, issued only the vaguest summary of their talks — let alone a joint statement — and reversed a decision to release an official photo of their meetings. see the story at TimesOnLine.

Republicans send the ObamaForcedCare reconciliation bill back to the House - a minor victory but not without significance.

Apparently, the events of this story will represent only a minor barrier but the Republicans have succeeded in sending the Reconciliation bill - an attachment to ObamaForcedCare (OFC) passed on Dark Sunday, March 21, 2010, back to the House of Representatives. There appears to be claims of savings due to OFC that are not accurate or should not be in this reconciliation action. What follows is a story from Open Congress. Understand this, the OFC can be defeated over a period of time. Beginning after the November elections and assuming the eventual Congressional assumption to power of the GOP, conservative politicians can choose to defund OFC, effectively stopping this action. Secondly, the GOP will have to legislatively alter the sordid tax burden that has been embedded in this bill opening opportunity for business, especially small small business, to think about hiring again. And finally, with a Congressional majority in both houses and a Republican President in place, the bill can be revised (radically so) to make it acceptable to certain Constitutional standards while continuing to address some of the issues within the bill that needed to be addressed -- jds

Health Care Reconciliation Bill Must Go Back to the House by Donny Shaw March 25, 2010

The Senate stayed in session late into the night on Wednesday, voting over and over to reject dilatory Republican amendments to the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act and moving closer to a final vote on passage. The bill proposes a number of "fixes" to the new health care law, like increasing subsidies for helping people buy insurance and lowering tax penalties on those who don't, and includes unrelated legislation to reform the student loan industry. By the time the Senate adjourned at 2:50 a.m. ET on Thursday morning, they had rejected 29 Republican amendments to the bill on everything from repealing the new health care bill to undoing Washington D.C.'s gay marriage law. But as it turns out, the situation the Democrats were working all night on Wednesday to avoid, having to send the bill back to the House for another vote, is unavoidable. This AP is reporting that the GOP has succesfully altered the bill by finding violations in the bill under the Byrd Rule.

A cautionary note about the conservative push back and the need for peaceful demonstrations

Glenn Beck made a point on his Wednesday FoxNews show - second most popular news show on cable (nearly five times more popular than the very bitter Keith Olbermann) and it bears repeating.

Speaking of contemplated violence by members of the Right, Beck cautions against falling into the trap of violent protest.

Understand that Obama spent years as a community organizer -- code for being a Chicago thug forcing businesses and corporations to cowdown to his demands. And many of his friends - Bill Ayers, Cass Sunstein, van Jones, Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan believe that violent revolution is a key to social change. Pelosi's crowd is made up of those who threw bags of crap at our returning solders -- something none of them have ever apologized for. They were the dope smokers, free love proponents and domestic terrorists of years gone by. They beat Viet Nam vets to death because they wore uniforms. They destroyed whole car lots and housing complexes (under construction) because of their radical views of "mother earth." They have "framed" the faithful and slandered those who have dared to disagree with them. They preach hatred with the most venomous of language and incite the radical left to riot and destructive behavior.

That is what they did. That is what they do. Beck says this: DON'T BECOME THEM !! THEY WANT YOU TO BECOME THEM. And we agree. When Pelosi lead that procession straight through the Tea Party demonstration on Sunday, this mindless bikini Mama of the 60's was hoping you would react to the insult of her procession. You did not and good for you. Gandi effected change without violence. Martin Luther King, Jr., did likewise -- and he was a Republican !!! Learn the lesson and "peace out" on this one. Our unity is the key and our vote is the power. Pelosi and her water boy Hussein Obama, are in the minority and this country will make that clear come November.

Understand that you cannot get more angry that I have been over the course of the last several days. I talk plenty tough -- behind closed doors. But, in the end, I know that this is not the path to victory. While violence may be the answer when left with no choice, we are nowhere close to being left with "no choice." I own a shotgun and would use it if you came into my home uninvited. But the power of revolution is not "violence." Once again, violence is what "they" want. It is what they practiced. It is what they encourage, even in today's politicial economy. Violence is what Karl Marx envisioned. Let's prove their hero wrong and push back in peace. Let's do what they cannot do and trust in the process.
