Editor's notes: The Obama Administration has no intentions of obeying a Congressional veto override, should that happen. If that was untrue, Kerry would have simply said, "Yes, absolutely yes." He did not do that. Are there no Democrats left who believe in the rule of law?

While testifying before the House of Representatives on the Obama
administration’s nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran,
Secretary of State John Kerry would not commit to following the law
should Congress override a threatened presidential veto.
Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) asked what the administration would
do if Congress overrides a veto and rejects the deal. “You strongly do
not want us to override a presidential veto, but if we do that triggers
certain American laws,” Sherman asked, “I’d like to give you an
opportunity — you don’t want us to do it, you think it’s terrible
policy, you think the rest of the world would be against us — but lets
say Congress doesn’t take your advice, we override a veto. And the law
that’s triggered then imposes certain sanctions. Will you follow the law
even though you think it violates this agreement clearly and even if
you think it’s absolutely terrible policy?”
Secretary Kerry said he could not answer that question. “I can’t
begin to answer that at this point without consulting with the president
and determining what the circumstances are,” he responded.
Sherman interrupted, asking, “So, you’re not committed to following the law if you think it’s a bad law?”
Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
One of these flags stands for more than war; the other is all about war . . . . and needs to be vanquished for that reason. Period.
The simple-minded Southern Democrat wing of the GOP insists on driving around, during school recess, with the confederate battle flag of Virginia, waving in the breeze as they drive by black weddings and birthday parties.
The flag on the right IS the national flag of the Confederacy. The flag on the left is the battle flag for Virginia. The battle flag is ONLY about war and rebellion and racism . . . . . . . period. It means, "We are going to kill you if we can't have our plantations."
It does not belong to our Yankee society. If they want a symbol that reminds of the good things of the South, it is the Confederate National Flag, not the flag they followed into battle. It is the National Confederate Flag that belongs in our museums, not the battle flag of a Southern Democrat rebellion.

Yesterday (July 28) we had a story of 7 pick-ups, each carrying the war flag, doing a drive-by of a black birthday party, with the brain dead occupants threatening to kill blacks.
Does the use of that flag always mean the folks want to kill blacks??? No, of course not. But who can tell the difference with confidence? I mean, how do the neighbors KNOW that the Southern Democrat punks are not out on a dangerous rampage? How do they KNOW ? And that is why it must be condemned.
Look, if you are having a party and these Confederate Punks are seen driving your way, coming down the street in their junk pick-ups, you have no choice but to run and hide and that makes this more than wrong, it makes it a terror event.
End of argument. Don't like my conclusion? Go to hell, in a handbasket, in a hurry . . . . . . . and take it personal.

Border News: There is an increase in border crossings, but, illegal crossings are down 48% from this time last year. Maybe the border is not the campaign issue that wins the presidency for the GOP.
A local TV news station on the southern border makes this report:
A year ago thousands of families illegally crossed into the United States.
Border Patrol agents confirmed they have seen a slight increase in the number of people illegally crossing the border. Along the Rio Grande River, anticipation begins to set in for Border Patrol agents for the possibility of a second wave. “We’re planning. You know, the Border Patrol is certainly planning,” Rio Grande Valley Acting Sector Chief Raul Ortiz said.
They said they’re still well below last year’s surge. Apprehensions are 48 percent lower than last fiscal year. “We’ve apprehended about 118,000 people this year,” Ortiz said. “Yet, we’re still the busiest sector in the country.” Border Patrol is catching about 3,100 people a week. Federal authorities also confirmed holding cells are still well below capacity.
Editor's notes: Question: In what communities are crimes due to illegal migration at all time lows? Answer: L.A. and New York. What do these communities have in common? These are the largest populations of Hispanic illegal immigration.
Does this fact make illegal immigration "ok?" Absolutely not. But we do need to fight the battle based on confirmed facts, no? So what is wrong, in general and apart from the immigration of felons, with illegal immigration? First, it is "illegal" immigration. Secondly, these folks need to work. As a consequence, they add to the workforce, in this country, that is hardest hit with unemployment. Third: to allow for protected illegal immigration is to make a mockery of our laws. More than this, it takes away the need to legislate corrections in the law. If folks are allowed to ignore the law without penalty, why make corrections that may or may not be obeyed. Chaos and lawlessness that is made systemic, can never be considered acceptable.

This sort of crap needs to stop immediately. This is a terrorist act and needs to be prosecuted on a Federal level . . . . or good old country boys need to teach these clowns a lesson. Either way.
<<< This proud Yankee conservative says, its time to put this flag on ice. If we cannot control its use, it is no more free speech than screaming "fire" in a crowded theater . . . . period. Why did we allow this battle symbol to continue after the war? We kicked their butts. That should have been the end of the matter. Terrifying moment a black child's birthday party was interrupted by 'armed' white men carrying Confederate flags 'shouting n-word death threats'
- Seven pickup trucks with flags arrived at party in Douglasville, Georgia
- Owner of house said that men threatened violence and were armed
- Police, sued for racism last year, arrested one man on unrelated charges

Video
of the incident showed at least seven trucks with both Confederate and
American flags driving past the outraged party-goers in Douglasville on
Saturday.
A
woman who posted a second video says that one of the white truck
drivers, who she alleged were armed, said he would 'kill y’all
[N-words]'.
These video's were made back in 2013. No telling how many such reports have been made, well before abortion mill leadership was made aware of any ongoing expose'. Can anyone say, "Death by a thousand cuts."
For 6 months, Holly O’Donnell’s job was to identify pregnant
women at Planned Parenthood who met criteria for fetal tissue orders and
to harvest the fetal body parts after their abortions.
As if the first two videos involving fetal organ harvesting and haggling over price weren’t vile enough, yet another video has gone public from the Center For Medical Progress. This one looks to be the first of a new angle on the series, entitled “Human Capital. Episode 1: Planned Parenthood’s Black Market In Baby Parts“, and it takes on more of a documentary type of feel.
This episode feature the story of Holly O’Donnell, a phlebotomist-turned-whistleblower who was looking for work drawing blood, “I thought I was going to be just drawing blood, not procuring tissue from aborted fetuses“, as she applied for a job with a company called Stem Express.
O’Donnell says that Stem Express didn’t even tell her what job would
entail during her interview. She later learned that they hire
procurement techs to “draw blood and dissect dead fetuses, and sell the
parts to researchers. They partner with Planned Parenthood and they get part of the money.”
“We were asked to procure certain tissues, like brain, liver, sinus, pancreas, heart, lungs, and pretty much anything on the fetus. It’s basically a huge trafficking of fetal tissues” she reveals. “They weren’t looking for a compassionate individual, at all. They were just looking for someone who could get as much money, as many samples. I think that’s why they were interested in me, as a phlebotomist, cause I can draw quick… They wanted someone who could get the numbers up.”

Did you know that not a single winner of the New Hampshire primary has gone on to win a presidential election . . . . ever. So, do not panic if Trump wins N.H. In the end, he will actually have to talk about policy instead of simply killing off his competition.

Trump Holds Big Lead in New Hampshire
— A new Monmouth poll in New Hampshire finds Donald Trump leading the
GOP presidential race with 24%, followed by Jeb Bush at 12%, John Kasich
at 7%, Scott Walker at 7%, Marco Rubio at 6%, Ben Carson at 5% and Rand
Paul at 5%. — SHARES — TwitterFacebookLinkedin
The search has covered an area as large as the State of Indiana. Why does the search continue for two boys lost at sea for 4 days anbd counting?
To answer the question in our headline: Because they have life-preservers, a wooden cover from the boats engine compartment that could be used as a buoy, and (maybe) food in an ice chest.

Obama’s Kenyan Brother: Barack ‘Is Not An Honest Man’
According to the Boston Globe’s Farah Stockman, the relationship between the Obama brothers has soured since then 25-year-old Barack, “began his search for the Kenyan family members he’d never met” back in 1986.
Malik — who has attempted a political career of his own in his home province — said in a recent interview that after failing to provide money for a family member’s funeral, it’s clear that POTUS “doesn’t want anything to do with” his Kenyan family members. “He’s not an honest man,” said the elder Obama. “It’s a big humiliation.”
