Obama's second term would deepened the arranged power given to Big Labor via Obama and his misuse of "executive order." Virtually all of Obama's orders, listed in this post, should be reversed on Day #1, provided Romney wins the election.

After Big Labor spent nearly $1 billion to get President Obama and his forced-unionism allies elected in 2008, Obama did not disappoint.

Here is a breakdown of the top 10 most outrageous Big Labor paybacks of the Obama administration:

1. Hiding union boss expenditures. Obama started his term strong. Shortly after getting elected, Obama appointed forced-unionism partisan Hilda Solis to run the Department of Labor. Solis, in combination with numerous Obama executive orders, promptly rolled back any (albeit modest) progress in union boss transparency and disclosure requirements . . . . .

2. Obama’s first budget slashed funding for the Office of Labor and Management Standards (OLMS), the federal agency that enforces union disclosure laws. . . . . 

3. Obama stack the deck as to the membership of the union watchdog agency,  the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), placing two union members to the three man commission . . . . . . .

Obama - Israel's best friend??? Let's stop with that nonsense, shall we? Obama is doing all he can to undermine an Israeli military response, as if it were any of his business. We need a president who will support our allies.

Seven months ago, Israel and the United States postponed a massive joint military exercise that was originally set to go forward just as concerns were brimming that Israel would launch a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The exercise was rescheduled for late October, and appears likely to go forward on the cusp of the U.S. presidential election. But it won’t be nearly the same exercise. Well-placed sources in both countries have told TIME that Washington has greatly reduced the scale of U.S. participation, slashing by more than two-thirds the number of American troops going to Israel and reducing both the number and potency of missile interception systems at the core of the joint exercise.

“Basically what the Americans are saying is, ‘We don’t trust you,’” a senior Israeli military official tells TIME.

Obama campaigns on anti-free speech issues while claiming to be an "in touch" politician.

While on the campaign trail,  yesterday (Friday),  Obama demonstrated his ability to be remarkable out of touch with reality. 

First,  he called for the passage of the so-called “Disclose Act,”  which would require donor disclosure of all concerns that donate more than $10,000.  Of course,  this is not about “fairness”  but about giving the Democrats the ability to single out all donors opposing their (the Democrats) agenda with a view to reprisals  and boycotts.  In short,  the Left has a strategy that includes the total destruction of all disagreeable businesses and their owners.

 

I am for transparency but not when that information can and will be used to boycott folks into oblivion.  Free speech is not protected speech when folks are free to destroy those who disagrees. 

Secondly,  Obama proposed (yesterday) an amendment to the US Constitution to prohibit the free political speech endeavors of corporations,  excluding unions, 501-c3 and similar organizations.  Not going to happen. 

Such an amendment would require a 2/3 vote of both houses of congress and 2/3  vote of the 50 states.    As an alternative,  2/3 of all states can ask congress for a constitutional convention and deal with the issue in that venue.   Neither avenues require the approval of the president,  whoever that might be. 

Whatever the process,  this issue is so caustic,  politically,  that one wonders why Obama even brought up the matter.  In short, his ideas do not have one chance in 700 hells of passage. 

It just goes to show us all 1) how out of touch Obama and the Dems with popular opinion  and, 2) how much Obama disagrees with the fundamental liberties upon which this nation was founded.  

Obama follows Romney into New Orleans after making 7 campaign stops but criticizes Mitt for "having a party" while Isaac stormed in on New Orleans. (no article - just more hypocrisy)

Romney Bounce? 3 points up on Rasmussen; 6 point turn-around with the very liberal Reuters. He improved his favorabilities and his approval with women (no article)

Speaking of "leading from behind," after being told of Romney's planned visit to New Orleans, Obama rushed to an open mic and said, "Me too." (no article)

Call it "marxism" or "collectivism" or "One World imposed socialism," it begins with a Harvard education (for many).

 If its Harvard,  its all about a brand of Marxism I might call “imposed global socialism.”  Elena Kagan,  Barack Obama,  Elizabeth Warren, the pugnacious Ashley Judd (actress),  Arne Duncan (Obama’s educational czar), Al Gore, Ralph Nader,  Ted Kennedy,   all came out of the Harvard social justice/global socialism school  of thought.  Famous conservatives went to this school as well,  proving,  of course,  that people can think for themselves while attending an agenda driven educational cabal. 

Peter Farrara is a graduate of both Harvard College and Harvard Law School.  He is a committed conservative.  While choices exist at Harvard,  Farrara’s article is both insightful and revealing.  Say what you will about choices at Harvard;  it remains a fact that the school is at the center of the Marxist universe in the United States.  Here is an excerpt from Farrara’s article.

Obama's speech to the military met with periods of silence. His disapproval rating puts him at 59 to 35 , soldiers disapproving by 24 points. No wonder Dems try to suppress the military vote.

And his popularity is on a sharply downward trend.  Here is why:

An internal Army survey that was conducted in 2011 and published this year discovered that only 26 percent of active-duty Army officers say yes–and that one of the two main themes cited by those who say no is that the Army is now adversely impacted by “political correctness” imposed by both outside policymakers and senior Army leaders.

The 26 percent who said the Army was headed in the right direction in 2011 was the lowest percentage who gave that response since the Army began conducting this survey in 2005. It was also significant drop from the 33 percent who had said the Army was heading in the right direction in 2010.

In the 2011 survey, in contrast to the 26 percent who said the Army was heading in the right direction, 38 percent said it was headed in the wrong direction and another 36 percent remained neutral on the topic, neither agreeing nor disagreeing that the army is heading in the right direction.
