CNN is currently showing a total infection number of over 1 million for the United States. Because of the above, a more realistic total is closer to 32 million infections versus a death rate of 57,533. Put in terms of percentages, we have a real time death rate of 0.00178, a number far less than first time or any previous estimate.

Including his spontaneous question and anwer sessions on the WH lawn, Trump could answer as many a 20 questions. Keep in mind, the man will take questions at very nearly every public appearance .
With that in mind, I would argue for a weekly average of 30 questions per day 5 days a week. The weekend count would be extra but I want this estimate count to be conservative so it is not included.

We have always had hard data as to the number of Corona deaths. We were only guessing as to the numbeer of those infected. Now we know . . . and Corona is not as deadly as we have been told.

The first large-scale community test of 3,300 people in Santa Clara County found that 2.5 to 4.2% of those tested were positive for antibodies — a number suggesting a far higher past infection rate than the official count.
Based on the initial data, researchers estimate that the range of people who may have had the virus to be between 48,000 and 81,000 in the county of 2 million — as opposed to the approximately 1,000 in the county’s official tally at the time the samples were taken.
“Our findings suggest that there is somewhere between 50- and 80-fold more infections in our county than what’s known by the number of cases than are reported by our department of public health,” Dr. Eran Bendavid, the associate professor of medicine at Stanford University who led the study, said in an interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.

regular activity, at first in places with few COVID-19 cases and later,
as the virus fades, to the rest of the nation.
“We can begin the next front in our war, which we are calling ‘Opening Up America Again,'” Trump said during a press briefing at the White House. “To preserve the health of Americans, we must preserve the health of our economy.”
To the governors, Trump said: “You’re going to call your own shots,” according to an audio recording obtained by The Associated Press. “We’re going to be standing alongside of you.”
“In phase one, for instance, the plan recommends strict social distancing for all people in public. Gatherings larger than 10 people are to be avoided and nonessential travel is discouraged,” the AP reported.
“We have a very large number of states that want to get going and
they’re in very good shape,” Trump said in the phone call. “That’s good
with us, frankly.”
“The ‘Opening Up America Again’ plan was signed off on by the president’s medical advisors, Dr. Deborah Birx, Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Robert Redfield, and will be a “data-driven” approach with governors taking the helm in deciding, down to a county-level, how they will reopen their states, the White House said,” Fox News reported.
“We are not opening all at once, but one careful step at a time,” Trump said, noting that the new guidelines were “based on hard verifiable data.”
“Some states will be able to open up sooner than others,” he said.
“This is a gradual process,” Trump said. “Throughout the process, citizens will still be called on to use all the weapons in this war.”

Quite often, this kind of subversive Media talk is followed by some sort of established reality. Understand that the Left - at least the leadership of the Left - has no regard for the historicity of the Colonial experiment we know as "the United States of America."
Understand that "historicity" includes the foundational influences and real-time context of any particular history. Specifically speaking, while the history of the United States might begin with Revolutionary War, its historicity includes the Magna Carta , the Federalist Papers, even the bio/information of the Founders (but not limited to any of this).
You should know that the specifics of modern-day "progressivism' have an implicit and casual relationship to "progressivism" as mirrored in MSNBC, CNN, the Wa/Post, the NY Times and many of the leaders within the Democrat Party. An overwhelming influence within the Democrat Party is the fact that there has been a grand divide (nationalism versus globalism) attached to our nation's history from the very beginning. The so-called "Left" never got over it's desire to be ruled by powers and constitutional provisions in faraway places, and, to be a vital part of a dream that included Nirvana type fantacies and a "sovereignty" that was global in design and idealistic in nature. In 1776, those people were few in number, but just as determined as ever .... never giving up on the dream of a larger European reality. And today, 244 years later, they sense that their time has come.
Keep all this in mind as we move toward the national elections of 2020. There is no doubt that we are dealing with the history of a New United States of America.
Time for this sort of commentary to stop.

Some of us know that "modeling" does not work, but we use modeling in the absense of real-time data precisely because you have no real-time date. Take weather forecasting for an example ; it is solely dependent on weather modeling. If the weatherman were to go on air and tell us, "It will probably rain this week, maybe before Saturday," we would have as much real-time information as forecasting "30% chance of rain tomorrow with increasing showers throughout the week." And how often is it the case that the forecast was wrong? But, at least, we can make plans, after all modeling is sometimes correct. And so we made plans for fighting the virus, and in that preparation, no doubt saved hundreds if not thousands of lives.

Attorney General William Barr will reportedly take “action” against government officials who “single out religious” organizations with social distancing enforcement measures as the country continues to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, which originated in China.
Barr spokeswoman Kerry Kupec made the announcement on Twitter, writing, “During this sacred week for many Americans, AG Barr is monitoring govt regulation of religious services. While social distancing policies are appropriate during this emergency, they must be applied evenhandedly & not single out religious orgs. Expect action from DOJ next week!”
The move comes as some government officials around the country have clamped down on church services and have even threatened to permanently close churches if they do not practice social distancing.

Why they hate America, Western Civilization and God
I’ve long wondered why so many family and friends fall into this category. We grew up in the same homes, went to the same grade schools as kids, had the same parents, attended (as kids) the same churches. To engage in the hate that they do, Progressives must often run counter to the values held by their parents -- and they know it. It takes a lot to abandon the values of one’s parents and one’s culture. Why do it?
Is it a logically and carefully considered and weighed repudiation of the values long honored by their parents and ancestors? Their culture? Their country? I’ve come to realize, not even close. Most couldn’t reason their way out of porta potty. What I realized is that it’s the same impulses that ruled their lives since they were six. Fitting in!
The Trump revolution is a revolution against America’s left-wing elites, be they in universities, mainstream media, Hollywood, or the tech nouveau riche. But to very many in America, those elites are not to be opposed, but rather espoused. If your kids come back from college and rant against Trump and maybe God, and you want oh-so-dearly to be relevant to your kids, you become woke. If the ladies in your book club think a border wall is horrid, and you can’t bear to be the outcast, you hate that wall too. If your country club bridge group, or your golf buddies think the Orange Man is insufferable, so do you. And down deep! You don’t just go along here. Oh no, you’re a True Believer. You’re not just leery of watching Fox or OAN by virtue of being found out. Oh no, you wouldn’t be caught dead watching anything other than CNN, PBS, or MSNBC. After all, that’s what your tennis partner-sociology professor watches, and you wouldn’t even think of doing differently.
Where is this phenomenon the strongest? It is, of course, in the “new money” suburbs of America, where fitting in, social climbing, and dying to be relevant is the new religion. These are people who don’t believe what their parents believed because they secretly (or openly) loathed the lower middle-class backgrounds of those parents, and that includes of course everything about those backgrounds. Ask yourself another thing -- are these people quiet about their left-wing wokeness or are they in-your-face about it? My (strong) guess is the latter, because as committed acolytes of their new religion, they need you (and those whose acceptance they crave) to know how woke they are and how decisively they’ve broken with their (parents’) past. And like true novo-religionists, they don’t tolerate dissent. Ironically while they deride religion (openly or secretly), they are blazingly aware of heresy and they don’t like it one bit. As a small test, express just a tiny measure of doubt about global warming, and watch the fireworks.
So, if you feel alienated in your extended family or social circle, just be aware that you are experiencing the same cliquishness that you so loved in grade-school and middle-school. And like then, it’s rooted not in the realm of ideas and concepts, but in the lowest psychological and social impulses of the human spirit.

with Sen. Bernie Sanders dropping out of the race for the Democratic
nomination, it's time for me to get off the bench. With the former vice
president now the de facto nominee, the general election begins in
earnest. In my view, it is absolutely essential to elect Biden in
November. It is literally a matter of life and death.
I
understand that there are those who still feel passionately about some
of the issues that divided Biden and Sanders. Health care reform is
obviously a big one. But every policy idea the candidates argued
about during the various debates has been superseded by COVID-19. There
is no other issue on the ballot in November.

I had hoped to see a systemic "turn-around" to the politics and direction of ths once great nation, a country my brother fought for in WW II and was left to fend for himself after "surviving" that war. But that is not going to happen. Nor can it happen if you understand the stifling impact of a political reality that is based on competing loyalties and ideas.
We simply cannot get past that destructive circumstance. The promise of individual freedom has been under attack from the very first day of this nation. Property taxation has taken our homes and land away from us. Sheer hatred for those who believe in a divine being has shuttered our schools and isolated our churches. The worship of "mother earth" has become an actual religion complete with its own cadre of songs and dance, its own media, its own heros and its own self sustaining political apparatus .
In terms of an alternative to corporate and tribal enslavement, one can only hope for, and work to achieve, a reasonably anonymous existence that in and of itself, offers a manaker of freedom. Lose that sense of anonymity and you are exposed to those who would destroy you, to those who would take your freedoms and make you a slave to the State.
Those are our choices after 244 years of national experimentation.
We have been "free" for so long a time, that we no longer appreciate our freedom. That being the case, a growing population is prepared to try something different. Understand that once we have accepted a globalist agenda, once we have surrendered our soveignity as a nation, once we have moved the centers of government to far away lands, there is no turning back.
Think about all this in Novemeber on that one day the opposing world is forced to listen to you . . . . but only here in America.

Modeling, what is it and why do so many dogmatically defend its use.
To be clear, modeling is a mathematical "event" that projects a numerical conclusion as in the case of Corona, averaging totals such as temperature in the case of global warming, or rates of frequency as in the case of the aftermath of Katrina (2005) and the predictions of 17 major weather events the following year.
In the end, after this crisis is over as concerns Corona, we are going to see "modeling" as being a very inaccurate predictive tool. Tucker, on Fox, was busy three weeks ago arguing for the possibility of 2.2 million deaths in the United States. Turns out that his prediction was based on a conscensus opinion (and there are many such opinions on any given subject) that was never true but for "consensus opinion."
Understand this: an opinion that goes beyond the test tube, is only and always an opinion. Such is the mixing of philosophy with science or mathematical science. A stated "opinion" is neither sceince nor exclusive of opposing opinions in a necessarily an viable way. Hence, a consensus opinion always stands in the company of other "consensus opinions."
But the Left with its compulsion for shared wealth (i.e. wealth redistribution) is tied to modeling as a unborn infant is tied to a life giving umbilical cord. Without mathematical modeling, there simply is no case for global warming that extends beyond the anecdotal.
Finally, understand that there is always a specific agenda tied to a particular model. A true student will make note of the model and search for attached agenda. just know this: Every agenda embraces (where appropriate) some sort of modeling to prove its reason or necessity for existence. Often, there is no established reason for an agenda apart from a well presented model.
Social justice models judicial abuses, domestic-abuse-resolutions model abuse statistics, crisis weather reporting will model the frequency of hurricanes, or flooding statistics and so on. Facts attached to predictions. The facts are science, The predictions are the product of philosophy.

While the Media complains about the length of Presidential pressers and the frequency of those pressers, it is the Media who asks question after question and attends each and every presser. What we have with our President, is a man who is committed to transparancy. He is willing to answer every question asked and make the press conference a critical opportunity to keep our Nation informed.

I must confess one thing: In the beginning of this thing (last Janruary) , I did not believe Corona would be worse than Influenza. I have changed my mind about that. In 2018-2019, Influena killed 34,000, 25,000 of those folks being senitor citiaens.
If predictions are accurate, more than 100,000 will die in the US by the beginning of summer. Hope that is wrong.
