So how is it going for the Novice, today? The new seven day average comes in at 45.28 %. That is nearly 3 full points. This is one of the poorest seven day averages in months.
While we will not pretend to understand the precipitous drop, we know that since the election, nothing much has changed. The Republicans are still preferred on the generic ballot (by 5 points). What we do know is this: these numbers are very similar to the numbers just before the GOP takeover in 1994,
The recent midterm elections were more about Democrat versus GOP than many pundits want to admit. The aftermath of the midterms is evidence of this notion.
