<<< Clearly, "global warming" is not occurring or the entire US map would be colored "red." In fact, none of it is.
Global warming and other sordid/apocalyptic warnings were and are all about the redistribution of wealth. The scheme, whether it be the "new ice age" of the 1970's, "the catastrophic depletion of the ozone layer" (1970 to present), the world wide famine scare of the 1980's, "death by pollution" 1970-present, mankind's death by "global warming" 1990's - present, or man made climate change, 2008 to present), has always been about raising money via some sort of emergency tax code, lining the pockets of Green (aka communist "red" leadership) leadership (Al Gore and the rest), and, finally, transferring the remaining wealth to United Nations member nations and the tyrannical leadership of those [poorer] nations.
Monday, October 27th, John Coleman, the founder of the Weather Channel, appearing on the Kelly Files (FoxNews) reminded America that more than 31,000 PhD qualified intellectuals and scientists, have reviewed global warming propaganda and remain skeptics of Crisis Claims.
It is a fact often presented on this blog and others, that the "radical" warming trend of the early 1990's leveled off beginning in 1996, and continues on a flat line to this day, 18 years running, at a warming rate of .6 of a degree, Celsius, over the course of the current century. The warming trend, such as it is, does nothing but increase the growing season, since a huge percentage of warming occurs at night. None of Warming's major disaster events, have proven to be true. Gore's prediction of 20 feet of ocean in the City of New York by 2015 is not going to happen. The disappearance of the ice caps at both poles, by this year, did not happen. The loss of the polar bear population via "warming," has been proven to be laughable, and the 16 year long document tampering scam by environmental scientists, remains a pox on the commercialism of the warming movement.
One wonders what the next climate scare will be.
Fulfilling your niche for ignorance and misinformation. A conservative obligation.
ReplyDeleteSeptember was the warmest month on record, according to the monthly climate report by NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center. This follows the warmest August on record, and the warmest summer on record, as well. And year to date, 2014 ties with 1998 and 2010 — two of the warmest years in recorded history...
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/wp/2014/10/20/after-record-warm-september-2014-is-on-track-to-warmest-year-noaa-says/
I have already debunked the methodology used to arrive at such a bogus conclusion. Counting 7 regions in the US, with one below temperature averages, 5 sitting stable with 100 year averages, and the 7th 3 degrees above the 100 year average, when combined and averaged together, we have "global warming" when, in fact, only one region of the nation has warming issues.
DeleteWhen you look at the color map above, you can see warming in REGIONS of this nation. I was in Colorado during the winter of 2010-2011 and its all-time snowfall records (more than 250 inches of snow, in Loveland Pass, that year. The map is the map and the "national averages" prove nothing.
More than this, I can cite a dozen articles documenting the cold spell in the Mid-West, record ice caps in Antarctica and back to normal ice flow in the Arctic.
Your plan to redistribute American wealth is failure, William.
Fox News is right on par with the level of ignorance you'd expect there. Taking the word of John Coleman on climate science... a guy who does not hold a degree in climatology or any related discipline, nor has he studied or conducted any research in that field; is typical for Fox News and of course is immediately parroted by Smithson. This a prime example of "conservative media" ... you have to reduce your IQ to listen to it, and it's really a pathetic commentary on America that so many people believe it. No wonder the GOP is still a viable party. It takes ignorance and a simple lack of intelligence to buy what they sell.
ReplyDeleteAgain, the opposition is reduced to name calling and character assassination. Coleman is a certified meteorologist, winner of the AMS meteorologist of the year, in 1982, a man who is well studied in the science of environmentalist. "Global Warming" theory was given its send off with the work of an environmentalist research scientist named Roger Revelle, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, in lectures given at Harvad, back in the days of Al Gore's attendance. Gore got a "D" for the class and Dr. Revelle later cautioned the environmental community as to his errant conclusions.
DeleteAll warming issues are regional, never global. The reader needs to remember this. It is irrefutable. Example: several years ago, Spain experienced a prolonged heat wave, but not France or Portugal or Germany, proving what, again? That all warming issues are regional, never global.
Some facts about the Oregon Petition that touts 32,000 signatures - cited by Coleman, parroted by Smithson.
ReplyDelete-0.5% have a background in Climatology or Atmospheric science, thats 1 out of 200
-Art Robinson founder of the petition is funded by the Exxon-backed George C. Marshall Institute
The petition and the documents included were all made to look like official papers from the prestigious National Academy of Science. They weren't, and this attempt to mislead has been well-documented.
The petition contained a cover letter from the very elderly and now deceased Dr. Fred Seitz - a big tobacco "scientist."
Also attached to the petition was an apparent "research paper" titled Environmental Effects of Increased Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide. The paper was made to mimic what a research paper would look like in the National Academy's prestigious Proceedings of the National Academy journal. The authors of the paper were Robinson, Sallie Baliunas, Willie Soon (both oil-backed scientists). With the signature of a former NAS president and a research paper that appeared to be published in one of the most prestigious science journals in the world, many scientists were duped into signing a petition based on a false impression.
The petition was so misleading that the National Academy issued a news release stating: "The petition project was a deliberate attempt to mislead scientists..."
That's the level of deceit, misinformation and plain BS that Smithson and his band of ignorants buys wholesale. It take a significantly unsophisticated brain to accept such ploys.
Another dividing issue - with the educated on one side, the ignorant and stupid on the other. What side do you want to be on? If you think Alinsky is pertinent to a discussion on climate science, you're on the stupid side.
The fact remains that more than 30,000 highly educated (most educators and PhD recipients) signed this letter. They read materials made available by the environmental community and agreed that the call to alarm was misguided. Many believed in the evidence of warming, as a trend, but none believed in the hysteria of the environmental "we are all going to die" movement.
DeleteThe notion that only qualified climate scientists are capable of deciphering published papers on the subject is an insult to educated professionals and the people who published the particular papers. If a scientist publishes a paper for my purview, and then disqualifies me from reading it because I am not educated in his particular disciple, well, that is kind of silly. The fact is, thousands have read the published evidence, and do not see the need for hysteria.
As far as "Alinsky" is concerned, Anonymous does not understand what Alinsky was all about, and how his dictates are used by Obama and his cronies.
In the spirit of honesty and professionalism in journalism, please cite your source regarding your claim that AL Gore predicted "20 feet of ocean in the City of New York by 2015 ". If you can not cite this as a fact, you should write s retraction.
ReplyDeleteAs to the arctic sea ice predictions - see this link for a clarification:

Ever heard of Gore's movie, Inconvenient Truth? That is where you find the 20 ft rise in sea level prediction. http://scienceline.org/2008/12/ask-rettner-sea-level-rise-al-gore-an-inconvenient-truth/. I will look for YOUR apology, in your next comment.
DeleteSmithson lies again. Gore discusses the impact of a 20 foot sea level rise, but no where does he say "in City of New York by 2015".
DeleteThis is what Smithson said, it is a lie and requires a retraction.
The transcript is available on line.
From the transcript of Inconvenient Truth.
Delete"Impact of 20 Foot Rise in Sea Level
In 1992 they measured this amount of melting in Greenland. 10 years later this is what happened. And here is the melting from 2005. Tony Blair's scientific advisor has said that because of what is happening in Greenland right now, the map of the world will have to be redrawn. If Greenland broke up and melted, or if half of Greenland and half of West Antarctica broke up and melted, this is what would happen to the sea level in Florida . . . . . They can measure this precisely, just as the scientists could predict precisely how much water would breech the levy in New Orleans. The area where the World Trade Center Memorial is to be located would be under water."
In the movie, Gore predicts the "break up of Greenland" and the a 20 foot rise in sea level that would cover the Twin Towers Memorial Site. I would have hoped that Anonymous knows that the Twin Towers is located in New York. Maybe not (?) . Because "Anonymous" cannot deal, emotionally, with Gore's stupidity does not mean the rest of us must remain confused and disillusioned.
The transcript of Gore's video idiocy can be found here: http://www.global-warming-truth.com/environmental-tv-movies/unofficial-transcription-of-an-inconvenient-truth-part-2.html
The fact remains, Gore DID NOT SAY there will be 20 feet of water in NYC in 2015.
DeleteRetract YOUR LIE.
Of course he did. That was the point of his movie, to scare the hell out of everyone. Lets not forget that in the same paragraph in which he discusses the effects of a 20 ft rise in tide as it rises to cover the Twin Towers Memorial site, he pushes the precision of environmentalist measurements, And his conclusion? "The area where the World Trade Center Memorial is to be located WOULD BE under water." Are you saying that because he used "World Trade Center Memorial" and not, "New York," I am wrong?" Good grief. The fact of the matter is this: this fat buffoon of a man, cares only about the millions he can make off "global warming." His movie was insanely wrong, but designed to convince all who watched it, of a certain coming doom, within a ten year period beginning with 2005. You all are little more than a joke, when it comes to your predictions, the hundred or so "climate models" and your inability to predict any major disaster before the fact. Absolutely laughable.
DeleteThe fact remains, Gore DID NOT SAY there will be 20 feet of water in NYC in 2015.
ReplyDeleteSmithson has no principles, refuses to admit his lie. Gore discussed what 20' of water in NYC would be like, never did he say 20' of water in NYC by 2015.
Smithson lies, deletes and comments. No further discussion on this blog should be engaged in or encouraged. It is not an honest discussion anymore. The blog owner is beyond learning, uses strawman arguments, red herrings, disbelieves common accepted science with foolish arguments. Tiring, repetitive persistent response patterns that anyone can see prove nothing. Not worth anyone's time to be here.
For me, life is too good and rich to wallow in the anger, bigotry and obsolete worldview of this blogger. For those of us on the right side of history, it's better to leave such people alone to their own sad devices.
Farewell
I gave the location for the transcript of "Inconvenient Truth," a fantasy science film documenting the Redistributionists argument for "global warming," better known among realists as "regional warming." In that transcript, noted in "comments" above, Gore laid out a 10 year time frame beginning with 2005, and talked about eventualities or predictions he argued, were the result of "precise" science. In fact, he used the word "precisely" as he discussed the disappearance of ice cap ice, the break-up of Greenland (!!!) and the subsequent ocean tide rise of 20 ft., water that would cover the Twin Tower Memorial site. The memorial site is in New York City. and there is Gore's implicit mention of the Big Apple and its pending and certain flooding. Judge for yourselves.
DeleteAgain, for the reader's convenience, here are the words of Gore, in the movie, as he points to world map showing the meltdown he argues is ALREADY taking place, beginning in 1992.
Under the heading ""Impact of 20 Foot Rise in Sea Level," we have the following wording. I give the reader the URL, as well.
>>> In 1992 they measured this amount of melting in Greenland. 10 years later this is what happened. And here is the melting from 2005. Bye, bye, Billy. There are several fellow Marxist revolutionaries waiting in the wings. Do what you have to do to get over your year long butt kicking here at Midknight Review. I assure, it has been my pleasure. Just know that I know why you have surrendered - you can't handle what is about to happen on Tuesday, if the prognosticators are correct. I am wondering if you "cluck, cluck" when you walk on your way down town for your disability check or is that a direct deposit thingy, giving you more time to train for your next nationally ranked race? What a classless phony you have proven to be. See ya, and yes, you are done here at the Review . . . . . period.
The transcript proves Smithson is lying. Gore cites "Tony Blair's advisor" and "IF Greenland [ice] broke up" ... nothing about 20 ft of water in NYC in 2015. Nothing about 2015. Thanks for showing us your lie.
DeleteAs for your other lies about me, for clarification, I do not receive gov't assistance like you do. I have disability insurance, as well as many types of insurance, but have never made a claim or received a benefit, hopefully never will. Also, I'm not a nationally elite athlete, I'm world elite. My 55.32 in the 400m is third fastest in the world for my age or older. I'm also playing concerts in 3 states this week. Life is good. Sorry your life and your health sucks. And worse, your brain is beyond repair and incapable of learning. Sad you can go through life in paranoid ignorance. Hidebound. Regressive. Classic conservative.
Despite what fleeting victories the redneck right gets in the next election, you will always be on the wrong side of history. You'll see. I guarantee it.
OK, now I'm done kicking your ass, you creationist evolution and science denier.
Good luck William
