<<< Bush shakes hands with as prolific a political coward and backstabber, as this country has ever seen. Even Bush has had enough. "By hook or crook" were Obama's words a few weeks ago, words that perfectly frame his actions as our first Rogue President.
In a closed-door meeting
with Jewish Donors Saturday night, former President George W. Bush
delivered his harshest public criticisms to date against his successor
on foreign policy, saying that President Barack Obama is being naïve
about Iran and the pending nuclear deal and losing the war against the
Islamic State. One attendee at the Republican Jewish Coalition session, held at the
Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas with owner Sheldon Adelson in attendance,
transcribed large portions of Bush’s remarks. The former president, who
rarely ever criticizes Obama in public, at first remarked that the idea
of re-entering the political arena was something he didn’t want to do.
He then proceeded to explain why Obama, in his view, was placing the
U.S. in "retreat" around the world. He also said Obama was misreading
Iran’s intentions while relaxing sanctions on Tehran too easily.
1. Bush said that Obama’s plan to lift sanctions on Iran with a promise
that they could snap back in place at any time was not plausible.
2. He
also said the deal would be bad for American national security in the
long term.
3. He criticized Obama’s decision to withdraw all U.S. troops in Iraq at the end of 2011 as a "classic bluder."
4. Bush said he views the rise of the Islamic State as al-Qaeda’s
"second act” and that they may have changed the name but that murdering
innocents is still the favored tactic.
5. He defended his own
administration’s handling of terrorism, noting that the terrorist Khalid
Sheikh Mohammed, who confessed to killing Wall Street Journal reporter
Daniel Pearl, was captured on his watch: “Just remember the guy who slit
Danny Pearl’s throat is in Gitmo, and now they're doing it on TV.”
6. Bush pointed out that Obama promised to degrade and destroy Islamic State's forces but then
didn’t develop a strategy to complete the mission,

ReplyDeleteFacts are fact, still, and Obama remains an absolutely mess of a human being. This is not about Democrats vs the GOP; it is about as inept a leader as any of us can imagine.
DeleteBush has sat around on the sidelines for too many years, allowing this rogue moron to insult him to his face, over and over again. He has gotten phone call after phone call from world leaders, expressing their concern and fear regarding what Obama is doing foreign affairs, and, especially, regarding the nuclear deal he has been obsessing over, with his friends in Iran. what is sad is this: he could get us all killed and you would continue to support this moron.
1. Presidents who launch two massive wars that destabilized the entire Middle East probably shouldn’t warn about his successor making the region “chaotic.”
Delete2. When U.S. forces withdrew from Iraq, it was under the terms of a Status of Forces Agreement negotiated by George W. Bush.
3. Bush may not like the idea of a nuclear agreement with Iran, but President Obama is now making up for the fact that Bush could have struck a better deal but failed to even try, and Iran’s nuclear capabilities grew far more serious – without consequence – on Bush’s watch.
You are so full of liberal nonsense, it boggles the mind. Your point #1 is idiotic. When Bush pulled out of Afghanistan, there were only 80 Taliban in the entire country. Bush should have left a residual force, but bowed to flowe3r-power pressure to make a complete pull out. As to Iraq, you have Biden declaring victory in Feb of 2010, calling it, pretending this to be one of the most significant accomplishment of the Obama Administration . . . . his words, not mine. And when Obama pulled all the troujps our and shutdown the $1 billion intel center in Baghdad, he told the nation he was leaving behind an Iraq that was strong, stable and sovereign or words to that affect . . . . his words not mine. The fact of the matter is this, Obama did not try to negotiate a Status of Forces Agreement that was substantial (10,000 to 23,000 troops). Rather he offered 3,000, a number so small, that Malaki saw no politicial advantage to the agreement. Secondly, as to this matter, when Obama reintroduced forces into Iraq and ramped up the air campaign, there was no Status of Forces Agreement . . . . which makes your point useless and grossly illiterate, in a political sense.
DeleteFinally, . . . . . . . . . . . ah . . . . . . . . . . . . . there is no freaking deal!! What are you talking about. Besides, Obama can not negotiate his way out of an opened door bathroom, and we all know it. Afgahistan was HIS war and was an embarrassing failure. And, he is not even trying to kill off ISIS, sadly. And as to Iran, Obama's dealings with Valarie Jarrett's homeland is a clear statement as to his allegiance to Islam versus the powers of the Middle East and Israel.
He runs away from the facts. Rationalizes, hides, denies. Obama will leave America better than he found it. Hillary will keep the improvement going. You may never see another GOP president in your life.
