Editor's notes:
By definition, mental instability (not "mental illness") is enhanced and grows when folks are allowed, even encouraged, to deny their personal realities. Case in point is the decision of the Left Wingnut organization we call "the girl scouts" to allow boys to join their organization as girls, simply because they do not like being who they are . . . . and we are talking about 8 and 9 year old kids.
The know-nothing Liberal cabal that is running unchecked throughout our historic cultural circumstance, is creating a huge societal program that will need to be dealt with, years into the future. They talk as if this is settled science . . . . that men can say they are women and, BAM, they are the weaker sex, in spite of size 12 feet, a penis (usually a dead give-away that one is "male") bony knees, prostrate cancer, male-patterned baldness, body hair and the little known fact, apparently, that their internal organs are uniquely male via their genetic/biological reality.
Look, some people are born with two heads, no arms, six fingers, and, in the case of this post, a female-type bone structure. So what do you do? Pretend that you don't have two heads or six fingers or a body structure that is more feminine than the typical male counter-part? The mentally healthy reality, in most cases, is to accept your reality and, at the same time, discover how to live with your reality.
Sadly, in this day and time, the "radical" is someone who believes in reality. Who knew we, as a society, were coming to this end.

Christian Science Monitor:
The Girl Scouts promise to teach children self-worth. For
Stormi, a 9-year-old Girl Scout in Herrin, Ill., that lesson came about
despite an unfriendly neighbor.
Stormi, who is transgender, ventured out into her neighborhood to
sell cookies with her foster mother, Kim. Three blocks from their home, a
man answered the door and, after her pitch, told her that “nobody wants
to buy cookies from a boy in a dress,” BuzzFeed reported.
Kim moved Stormi’s cookie sales to an online portal hosted by Girl
Scouts of the USA. She also recounted the incident in an online forum
for parents of transgender children. Within days, Stormi had sold more
than 3,000 boxes of cookies, including sales to customers in Canada and
Australia. She also received dozens of letters of support.
