News Alert: Fox News is announcing the suspension of Brian Williams, without pay, for six months, at NBC

Updated note:  Just as I was posting this article,  and before my proof reading was complete, Comcast went down,  for about an hour or more.  Apologies for the errors,  even in the headline.

Understand that last Friday,  his ratings numbers had fallen by a remarkable 36% .  Further,  in a survey appraising the trustworthiness of public personalities,  he was rated at 35th on this rather long list.  By the end of the weekend,  his trust factor had fallen to 863  . . .   a catastrophic failure.

Most of us who have followed this story  (I have always felt that Williams was a plastic banana),  it is common knowledge that Williams has almost habitually injected himself into any number of stories. Maureen Dowd, noteworthy NY Times reporter, is on record  . . . .  over the weekend  . . . .    as saying that Williams lies were of a pathological nature,  and that this was known by NBC for years,  if not a decade or more.

You should know that his suspension will cost him $5 million, half his annual pay, a serious matter for Williams and NBC News.

  1. When will Fox suspend O'Reilly for lying about being in combat? They won't, he brings in too much money and they have proven repeatedly they have no problem violating journalistic ethics.

    1. I have no idea what you are talking about. More than likely, neither do you.
